So... is sargeras really gone. And what about the titans?

It just feels weird yu’know… for most of the game the main theme has been “fight the legion”… and even when it wasn’t those other themes kind of tied into the legion. But now that it’s gone we don’t really have anyone to kill except each other… which is okay I guess, but fighting the legion just felt more glamourous

There’s still the void, among other things.

Not really. He’s just imprisoned and I think that’s why they went that route. One, there’s no believable way we can actually kill him right now. And also this way he can still come back in the future if needed. I highly doubt this is the last we’ve seen of him.

And we still have enemies! Like the almighty tentacle gods, who have been just as present as the Legion has. And anyone else Blizz adds into the mix. They’ve been foreshadowing a bunch of new things too.

I know but if the void was enough of a threat to drive sargeras insane and try to kill everything to keep the void from getting to it, what chance do we have? It took years to defeat sargeras, and his defeat took a big toll. And now… the void? The very reason for sargeras’s insanity. Not very optamistic

I still argue that we should lose to the void, and the entire expansion is us recovering from that loss. Really drive home that it was an unwinnable fight.

Make the last raid in whatever expansion preceeds it be a fight where the bad guy doesn’t even get injured and leave, he just gets bored and wipes the raid. No special secret or trick, he just wipes everyone after a while.

Then tie that directly into the next expansion with “Following their defeat at the hands of N’Zoth… [insert story].”

The entities that Sargeras was fighting against are still out there and still unchecked. Some of their subordinates are imprisoned on Azeroth. We call those subordinates, Old Gods.

I feel like some of the races would go extinct fr if that happened. Mainly the light-infused ones.

He is locked away. The titans themselves are just to powerful lorewise. They can destroy planets with a swing of their weapon. Destroy solar systems with their magics. Reshape the universe if they want. They are just to damn powerful.

Locking him away will open up more story opportunities down the road. The Demon lords of the Nether can return to power/infighting. New entitys can become larger threats because the all consuming Legion is out of the picture. Things like Lords of the Light. Void lords. Death gods. Demon lords. Primal/elemental entitys(like Murmur) 4th deminsion entitys (Aluneth). New old Gods. New planets in general.

He needs to come pick up his giant sword that he left behind.

if you cant beat em, join em

He’s gonna come back in the final battle against the void, with Illidan sitting on his head and controlling him by his hair like a Titan Ratatouille.

After a long chat, Illidan will realize Sargeras was right all along and will return with a new demon army to smite Azeroth and all its “heroes”.

Sylvanas plot armor versus Illidan plot armor. All the demon hunters get a new questline to cheer for undead psycho or dark naaru baby.

Would the Titans even kill one of their own?

Mm probably not their first choice. There’s so very few of them it might be only a last resort thing.

But I don’t think they can kill Sargeras. The Pantheon are not truly alive and restored. They’re just weakened spirits. They needed help from Argus’ power to just imprison Sargeras, killing him is likely not even possible for them.

IMO blizz just put Illidan and the titans in their back pockets for now. They probably don’t know what they’re doing with them at this point, but they ended Legion in a way where there could be a future for Illidan and the Titans.

I may be in the minority but I really liked MoP in the sense that it gave us brand new enemies and unique storytelling. I’m hoping for more expansions like that in the future.

PS - Timeless Isle was amazing.

There’s also Sylvanas’s glorious third faction that will rise to annoy the other two with blight. I hope to be the one delivering it in the future.

And yet they would give it all away for that sweet sweet Szechuan Sauce.

He was just in prison. Not dead yet. There could be some implications on that too. Way back when before sageras corruption. He found a baby void titan. He decided to kill it and go bad. And that was 10k years ago. Could be more of those void titan? But it was under control because sargeras been cleaving them. Now he’s not could there be new titan?

It’d be a proper threat if azeroth will ever awaken. And we’ll be helping her fight of course.

That red star in the sky reminds me of Jak and Daxter 3 on the ps2.

There was this Void creature that looked like a Star, and the entire game you had these monks warning you about the end of the world because of that star. Then the climax of the game the star crashes into the Earth and that void monster is the final boss.

I imagine that red star in WoW will mean something eventually for the titans and sargeras.
