So is rogue just stuck with Mutilate for the rest of the season?

Things could change but hopefully the hand runes get something more to entice us not to be dagger reliant and not saying its a bad thing but saberslash was a great P1 rune but completely fell off and now looking at the P3 runes? so its just gonna be mutilate + the new runes

I want to enjoy other runes tho? Like why couldnt saberslash be multi hitting move for tanks/ Muti for subtetly/Assassin. I mean shiv 100% needs buffs too and shadow strike is a rune :sob:

Personally I think they are going to change the energy back to 60 in phase 3. Whether that puts a dent in mutilate being the only viable main attack remains to be seen.

They made you guys such a mindless pvp class now its kinda sad. Hit evade and face spam mut over and over. Sadge.

Depends how strong the Fist Weapon set + Saber Slash combo works out with HAT. Mutilate does big damage and is massively CP efficient… but CP efficiency won’t matter nearly as much with HAT in a raid setting.

This phase we have an option of a pair of epic fists, epic swords, or epic daggers, so any build type is supported. However, fists individually are just really really stupid strong even without the set bonus.

Carnage vs CttC is going to be interesting as well since Saber Slash gives us a DoT for free to get that 20% steroid rolling at the expense of losing a few Envenoms to S&D refresh.

Gonna be hard to make any combo point generator as fun as mut.
Maybe saber slash 20 energy cost?

I think if they just made saberslash maybe low cost? but it does decent damage but instead let it do a multi hit slash and if theres no extra target it does 10% increased damage?

HAT is going to make CP generation a joke. We’re going to get a baseline 1 CP/sec in any half-baked raid where our party members are a Feral or another Rogue or a Warrior. So the new thing to determine will be what ratio of spenders to builders, plus relevant talents, is going to take the cake.

If it wasn’t for the fist weapons, I’d say Seal Fate+Mutilate is the way to go, simply because you’d be critting so often and getting 3 CP that you’d have a Rogue doing Mut-Env-Mut-Env endlessly. Add to that the fact that one you’re at 4 CP, it might be better to just wait on the HAT CPs to get you to five while you pool Energy so you can hit Envenom the moment it triggers.

But those fists are soooooo good. Seal Fate with fists could be good, but it lacks the giant crit bonuses of Mutilate. Or we just don’t give a crap and go deep Combat, do 2-3 Saber Slashes before Envenoming because, again, HAT is OP.
