I’m just not sure where we the war last stood on Horde and Alliance. Doesn’t seem to be progressing towards anything climactic. Was there even anything happening in Shadowlands? Frankly I’m not 100% sure what is the driving force to keep the battle going.
apologies ahead of time for ignorance.
To be honest the story of alliance vs horde had been back and forth on it, sometimes we hate each other, sometimes we are the closest allies.
We are back to a Cold waresque/wary peace.
Basically we are at peace but like 40-60% of the alliance/horde population still hates the other. (Lore wise).

The leaders of the Horde and Alliance appear to be getting along just fine.
We have personally recently helped rescue leaders of the opposing faction from the Jailer’s clutches.
But apparently the leaders haven’t bothered to notify the troops that the war’s over.
Yet.
Depends on the person. Most don’t care about it.
A few vocal minorities think it’s the basis of the game and that the entire story of WoW is us at each others throats.

This is the expac where we pretend to be friends. Before the next fallout.
I envy those people.
I wish that WoW was the game they seem to think it is, but never has been.
It’s only Tyrande that is at war with the Horde, and I just can’t understand why. We said sorry.
I still hate Horde because UD rogues kill my AFK dwarves. And zombies are dumb.
The faction war ranges from being mostly arbitrary to completely arbitrary, it depends on how hard Blizz is trying to push “faction pride.”
