Bm is pretty much unplayable and other pet classes having the same issues with no pet bars and being unable to summon or dismiss pets where the only fix is to relog. Noticed last week with sthaarbs in outdoor content pets couldn’t be summoned or path to platforms and figured it would be fixed but now the raid/instance bug is even worse.

This is really annoying. It happened to me in the raid last night on my BM hunter. I couldn’t dismiss my pets even though they were out, and /reload did nothing. I had to log out and log back in. Constantly not being able to use abilities, despite the pets clearly being out.
And they’re still not holding aggro very well either, despite buffs this week. Other times, pathing is a huge issue. I have /petassist /petattack macros and sometimes they don’t attack my target. All of this only started since 11.2 came out.

Wow, guess I’m holding off on running my second in command until these issues are fixed. Neat.
I’m not seeing it. My Beast Master has a pet bar. Did you turn off all addons to see if that fixes the problem?

As a Demo Warlock that can’t even use Demonic Strength this irritates me so much…

I haven’t had that problem with either my Warlock or Hunters.
It could be an Addon. Try going into Edit Mode, see if you can see it there.
Same here …did raid tonight on my bm hunter and halfway through 2nd boss my pet just dissappeared…couldn’t dismiss or summon any other pet even after re-log…had to finsh raid with arrows…wasn’t topping the meters…lol

It initially happened to me in the open world on second day of the patch, and there has been numerous posts on it. It not a simple issue. This absolutely breaks the class.
You are not able to:
Switch pets.
Heal them.
Loose their abilities bar.
Revive them.
It needs to be addressed now or Hunter are going to be unable to play.

Noticed this last night in LFR on my survival hunter. Pet portrait was gone but my pet was still alive and I could still use kill command.

Pet will auto attack and can still react to basic abilities, but otherwise it’s as if it was a npc.

In my experience, the pet only responds to Bloodshed and specials like Fortitude of the Bear or BL. Kill Command does not work for me during this bug.
Most of the time, logging out and in doesn’t actually fix it for me either. Neither does closing the game sometimes. I’ve had more success swapping to MM and back to BM
I’ve had it happen only once so far, fixed it by changing spec to petless marks and back again.
Ok I’m not a hunter but I felt like I was going crazy - I am switching in and out of my different forms on every GCD as if it keeps registering that I’m clicking in and out of form. It only breaks if I make sure to cast something else before the next GCD and if I don’t, it looks like I’m just clicking in and out of cat form or bear form, etc. It’s terrible and game breaking and has been happening to me for several months now.
I’ve noticed pets randomly disappearing, sometimes when going through portals. Sometimes blizz’s UI does not show the pet UI also. Ridiculous.

Has anyone (who is unable to use Kill Command during this bug) tested whether one button rotation allows you to use KC? Might be worth switching to one button rotation in bosses like Dimensius where you go through portals and the bug activates
It is not a bar bug. The game cannot figure out whether you have a pet at all. Try to make it attack or dismiss, ‘you have no pet’, try to cast any Call Pet, ‘you must dismiss your current pet first’

There’s at least two discussions like this thread in the bug report forum. Blizzard hasn’t acknowledged any issue. I use Blizzard’s ui and have disabled add ons. Sometimes it works properly, sometimes not. Kill command seems to work, but I have had the system say I have no pet. If it doesn’t work, you have no control of your pet and the healers nor anyone else can see it’s portrait bar. Have no idea how it might affect your overall damage or contributions to the raid, mythic+ or anything else.

They won’t even acknowledge the appearance tab rendering issue, let alone a pet bug.
It’s beyond clear they don’t give a damn.
