Cata or previous xpac
MoP forever
The retail option if implemented kills it stone dead as everyone will be running around in T3, corrupted ashbringers, black battle tanks, og glad mounts + elite sets, CM mogs, and other super prestigious items. The only recourse would be to make it all available post classic on the retail servers again.

On forums…way more moderated, so not sure how many people talk here vs reddit.
I can see a lot of retail people leaving if they do merge classic players into retail.
I personally don’t trust blizz to keep their word on much. I’m still salty about my guild bank.
Someone with a mount or tmog I don’t have isn’t going to hurt me. What hurts is when Blizz time and again changes their mind and not for the betterment of the majority of players…

I spoke about this in another thread and after reviewing all of the questions in the survey, I feel like it’s an absolute hoax. There are very specific questions in the survey that blizzard would never ask because players would assume that it was some sort of unspoken promise of that particular content Coming to the game. They would not mention playable high elves specifically, they would keep it very vague. They would also not be trying to introduce 10/20/40 man dungeons and or raids. There’s too many sketchy details in the screenshots and to me that suggests somebody made up a wish list and put blizzard‘s name on it so they would be asked questions about it.

I can understand people if they’re mad over this. Classic was advertised forever as “Never coming to retail”.
As long as these items become available again on retail it’s whatever, but I doubt the very talented people behind these decisions would do that.
asking solely out of curiosity do we have any blizzard response yet? Assuming no currently, but hoping I’m wrong.

They’re not going to respond to it because they didn’t put it out. There may be a legitimate survey out there somewhere but whoever this fan was that got a hold of it mocked it up to ask questions they wanted answered and not the ones that probably appeared in the actual survey. There’s a lot of very suspicious and sketchy verbiage in the survey as it’s posted in the screenshots and about Eight of those questions would never be asked by the development team because they are too specifically worded. Blizzard probably isn’t going to comment on it simply because they don’t want to draw any more attention to it and eventually like every other topic around here it’s going to lose steam and will no longer be the primary story. But it is absolutely fake, and I would bet my 401(k) on it.

I got it with an email. I don’t use X/Twitter.
Also it showed up on the email that I ONLY use for Blizzard. Nothing else goes there. Twitch, Steam, other gaming stuff goes to a different email. Bills go to different one. And I have one that I use for general stuff. And another that I forward the emails I want to keep ‘forever’ to; things like proof of purchases, etc.

Blizz never comments on surveys, real or not. They only rarely admit they even do them.
Fake surveys have become the new ‘expac leak’ since Blizz preemptively announced the next two expacs.

Good. Make everything available. Anyone coming over from Classic should be immediately scrutinized until all the items are in everyone’s collections.
Prestige shouldn’t exist in any game, ever.
