Every time I login (or level, or change zones) my action bars mess up and fly across the screen. My characters have not learned all of the different armor type rewards from past quests that I have completed. My screen will often flicker and shake in certain zones or in loading screens. And COUNTLESS other bugs.
This is the buggiest patch I have ever seen, IN MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. And I thought these things would get fixed within a few days, a week tops. But nothing?

The first troubleshooting steps for any of this will be the following:
- Exit game
- Delete cache folder in the retail folder
- Do a full UI reset (you’re only renaming the folders, not deleting anything)
Those steps can actually fix quite a lot of things. You’d be surprised.
90% of what you’ve described I haven’t heard of nor read about in the bug reports or tech support forum. So this is always a good thing to start with.
If the screen issues and action bar issues continue, then you’ll want to either try a Tech Support forum post to see if anyone can help or put in a ticket.
But you will want to do the above steps first, because these are going to be the steps listed in the first template response you get to your ticket.

All of this, and consider the age and limitations of most PCs. If you have some top of the line Alienware, or ultra gaming rig, you should be fine. However, even on my old gaming laptop, I downloaded and installed (completely free and safe) the “Razer Cortex” game booster. Easy to google, installs in 2 mins, and once in, click the games tab to have it locate WoW and all the other installed games. Then go to the Boost Tab and click “Boost Now” before you launch the game. You will be astonished.

Thanks for the recommendations; if I do this though how do I get all my addons back (and addon settings)?
The directions have you renaming the folders with “old” at the end. So you just delete the new folders it populates and then name the old ones back to their original names.
Just here to say that you aren’t crazy, the same thing happens to me every time I log on. My main action bar is moved to the top left of my screen and I have to move it back (not the end of the world, but still kind of annoying). Don’t think it’s an addon thing as I use default bars/frames and just move them using the edit function. This only started happening after the recent patch

Delete your add-ons. Ui bugs and other nonsense you are crying about isn’t blizz fault. Buy a better PC.
Try saving your bars to a preset ? Could be it
My solution for action bars not saving their relative position after every log session was the following:
- Delete the setting that you have saved.
- Re adjust the action bar positions and where you want them, but save under a new name.
That solves the problem most of the time.
This works with talent builds that bug out. Just better to delete it and make a new saved build.
