I may have missed it but did they announce anything that will help the dwindling alliance population? I was hoping for cross faction guilds and raiding but I didn’t see that mentioned anywhere
Cross faction play in 9.2.5
So yes, the Alliance is still dead.
How would you propose that blizzard fix a player created issue. They could massively buff all alliance racials to encourage a shift but then we’d have the opposite problem.
A player created issue by the fact that the devs gave alliance useless racials, and gave all the good raid ones to the horde?
It was never player created.
Alliance will become conscripts of the Horde.
By removing factions honestly.
They aren’t even useless.
Top end players will always shift to where the most advantage is, but that’s a small percentage of the playerbase. The problem comes in the form of casual players trying to emulate that, thinking that by following what the top .1% players are doing, it will make them a world class player as well.
At the end of the day, the racials the horde provides doesn’t actually accumulate to all that much for the average player.
This problem also is intensified by the fact that players want to play with their friends, so you got people following the flavor of the month, and people following their friends who follow the flavor of the month, and it snowballs. I’m surprised it didn’t get worse sooner.
cross faction grouping coming with 9.2.5 - it won’t help the numbers, but it’ll help those on the alliance find people to play with
