don’t listen to the dodo

that was my og vanilla class i’ve pretty much done everything i wanted to on it already was looking at something alittle different this time.

it really depends if u wanna tank or not?

In that case, if you want to raid, warlock.

i dont mind it i tend to use it as a secondary spec it would be nice to have in my back pocket to get groups

if u don’t wanna tank or off tank id suggest warlock too

Even if he wants to tank, the competition for raid spots will be pretty extreme.

i know it varies per server and time played and such but how long has it been taking you guys to find groups as dps … 5 mans i mean

I would try rogue or warrior. If you haven’t really played a melee class much it might feel a little more fresh.

I mean, she’s not wrong.

Yo, finding a group as a dps is hit or miss. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, sometimes a half hour, sometimes you can’t find a group at all. This is my experience on one of the highest pop servers. I am speaking, of course, about finding PuGs.

Warrior and rogue are highly gear dependent classes, so if you’re going to play them you should keep in mind you will need to put in significant effort at 60 to be on par with the competition. The reward will be you’ll top the dps meters. If you don’t want to put in effort and prefer to play casually, I would suggest playing a caster. You’ll still get stomped by other DPS who put in the time, but you won’t be totally useless like an undergeared rogue.

Hope that helps.

yes it does help putting the effort in wont be the case at 60 i plan on really pushing my first toon to get it all set up . thats why maybe a warrior would be good its tough to level so i get the hardest one out of the way and it sclaes quite well from what i recall.

now i know getting this weapon is kind of a pipe dream but i would love to get thunderfury as my tanking weapon but im not basing my choice on that. now ive seen rogues pull some crazy stuff in pvp but i know that takes time and with this spy add on people are talking about i think limits that some.

Well sounds like warrior will be something you’ll enjoy a great deal then. Go for it, it’s a really fun class to play, and lvling isn’t so bad if you keep your gear updated consistently.

Though I’d add, at this point in the game you’re gonna be hard pressed to get a Thunderfury unless you’re one of the main tanks in a guild. Classic hasn’t been out long enough for too many of those to be crafted yet. My guild has been clearing MC for a month and a half and we don’t even have 1 Thunderfury yet (soon though, have 2/3 pieces).

Well bwl isn’t even out yet we need that first but tf is a stars align kinda goal I know I may never get it honestly I think hand of rag or corrupted ashbringer would be more logical choice.

But I would never pick a class based off getting a weapon that I may never see lol but the more I weigh the options warrior seems the way to go it may be tough but with eng it shouldn’t be to bad and once bgs do drop and every stop crying about the pvp system being just like it was in vanilla when they launched it I should do fairly well ranking up and have maybe a rogue alt by then

Warlock.

The answer is always Warlock.

Mage is OP… but rogues can stealth, which is arguably even more OP in PvP. If you’re on a PvP server and don’t want to constantly get attacked by honor farmers, rogue is your best choice. I love warriors, but I explicity leveled my main to max BEFORE Phase 2 released, because my class is just terrible in solo open world PvP. Warlock is a solid choice also, and they are stupid OP with dots and Fear in PvP, but they are also on the squishier side (disregarding health/soulstone) and they can’t sneak.

For sure, especially when rogues can 1 hit mages/priests.
