as someone who have done all mage towers challenges in legion, except for healers/arcane mage skin, i have to say that i dont wan’t something that was advertised to be coming back, yes i hate that i never did any cm modes in mop and same for wod skins that i would love to have but i did not do the content so i made sure that in legion i would get the skins i wanted
Limited edition items, mounts, mogs should be just that. I played a lot during Legion and not once did I try to go for anything in the Mage tower. That was my own fault. A new Mage Tower with different re-colors or new items is fine, but keep the limited time things in the past where they belong.
Yeah that’d be dope. It’d be cool to see a resurgence of those models actually being used as transmogs again and it’d be really funny seeing all the forum posts of people raging over it.
Dont forget all trading card mounts etc, they need to re issue the sets so we have a fair change at those as well. As im sure we were all “un-aware” of those things as well or didnt play card games at that time.

One thing coming back doesn’t mean everything has to, that’s how we get to the point of not having nice things. The Mage Tower coming back means it’s more likely old content could return in a revamped form, don’t demand everything return just because one thing will.

if one thing comes back, when does it end? if we have valid reasons to bring back mage tower appearances , then we also have valid reasons to bring back all the cool stuff that was removed

You aren’t actually the same, just the exact same content in threads made 10 minutes ago.
Is there now precedent? There will be. Does that mean everything has to come back? Certainly not. I want them back too, but if we make expectations for everything to come back then we are likely to not have anything comeback, because Blizzard won’t to ever open the can of worms again.
So I agree with things coming back, but we shouldn’t ask for everything to return, we haven’t even had the Mage Tower rerelease yet.
What’s the difference between then bringing back the mage tower content, and when they brought back Naxx, ZG and ZA as new content with new rewards? It doesn’t sound like this newer mage tower will be exactly the same at all. No one is sure of rewards as of yet, but I am pretty sure it will be new items. Same way they did Naxx, ZA and ZG.
Your situation is not indicative of the situations of others. To assume that everyone else was in the same situation as you is an abhorrent display of privilege on a ridiculous level.
Walking back on this FOMO garbage is a good start. It needs to stay gone.
Also, there are tons of “limited-time” items that were removed from the game and then put back in BMAH.
Do you even understand what “limited time” means? The keyword is “limited”. It doesn’t mean “this thing will be available for one period of time only”; no, it means “this thing won’t be available all the time”. You can take something away and reintroduce it and still easily meet the definition of “limited time.”
What’s next, telling McDonalds that they’re an awful company for bringing back limited-time items such as the McRib because people enjoy it?
Except for the people that spent the time to earn those things before they were removed, because it was said to be going away. Win win means everyone wins, not a group of people because you get what you want.
Relax. MT coming back does not signify the limited appearances are. This is all speculation but right now the only reward that appears to be likely tied to the new MT is the t20 recolors. I fail to see how that would be a bad thing. Will everyone like that reward? Of course not. I just fail to see how anyone could be bothered by more content and new rewards.
As someone who has it, I wish more people could get it. As someone who has the druid mage tower skins, I wish new druids could get those.
Cosmetics shouldn’t be temporary, IMO. Drop an achievement to make people feel special for “being there” if they need the prestige or to boast to people who don’t care about their accomplishments in a video game.
But I have always been in opposition of them removing things from the game. Content, cosmetics, etc… The game should just keep growing, IMO, and should never punish players for not “being there.”
