So if the Nathrezim were Created by Denathrius... What About Lothraxion?

You know, the Nathrezim that was infused with the Light? What about his story? Nathrezim were created by Sire Denathrius “to be the greatest spies and infiltrators in all of reality”. Yet this guy was twisted by fel and then infused with the Light to fight against the Burning Legion in the Grand Army of the Light.

If you poke him enough to get annoyed in-game, he’ll eventually say “This must be why the Nathrezim joined the Legion”, adhering to the story arc of the Nathrezim very much being Demons of the Twisting Nether.

That or Denathrius’ own spies just turning against his will to then join a rampaging cosmic tyrant’s army essentially betraying their original purpose and you expect me to believe that Sire Denathrius wouldn’t do anything about this or even mention it?

Additionally Lothraxion says nothing of his origins and original purpose in the Burning Legion, I’m pretty sure art of devoting to the Light has a big thing against lies and deception.

What did the Void have anything to do with the Jailer’s plans? I see no Old Gods in SL at all, it’s the realm of spirits and where the dead go. Blizzard should honestly fire themselves for being the ones to give the ultimate “go ahead” to whoever it was that wrote this crap because it’s THEIR responsibility to make sure everything is in the up and up.

As it stands they don’t even remember their own story they wrote for their own damn game anymore. This is going to take so many expansions to fix.

You’re not supposed to pay attention to the man behind the curtain.

Similar to the titans, the naaru and their keepers are singular in purpose. Their adherence to a linear path is an obvious shortcoming.

They savor nothing more than being proved right, so if they believe they have converted one of us to their precious Light, they will trust that agent implicitly.

Lothraxion is an infiltrator to the army of the light.

So then where is he now? What is he doing?

They must be saving it for another expansion, but with Denathrius defeated and the Jailer slain, he’s probably trembling in his hooves about being left surrounded by enemies he now has to keep up the act with with no purpose or reason for it whatsoever.

Sounds embarrassing if you ask me.

There is a 50-50 chance that he did change once he ended up joining the Army or that he truly is a deep mole agent for Denathrius.

I mean, considering the Jailer’s plan would only work if we killed Argus, it would make sense if Lotharxion helped us against the Legion.

I choose to pretend this plot line didn’t occur, in hopes that Blizzard also does the same.

So the thing here is a question of “does this principle hold true when a Nathrezim is Lightforged”.

As far as we are aware, when entities become Lightforged, they’re kinda… zealous.

So then why didn’t they just be completely on our entire side to try and get us to kill Argus, instead of for all accounts aiding the Legion?

Because they still needed to torment Argus? Simply killing a titan would not be enough(as shown by the fact all the other titans had died before). Argus also needed to be corrupted/tormented.

The Void literally had a war with Bastion.

They’re affected in behavior by both the Fel and the Light in different ways. The Light should’ve felt glorious, absolutely beautiful and heart-warming to have weighed so much guilt upon Lothraxion for his deceptions and he should’ve come clean.

I just remember a quest or something involving the Naaru [Or I think it was something involving the Ashbringer?] that showed how strongly the Light affects someone so deeply and so personally. I find it difficult to believe as a Light Infused Nathrezim he would’ve been able to keep the act up.

Forgot that one. Gonna fix. But if the Jailer’s plans did involve the Void then what the hell did Locus-Walker who spared Lothraxion see in him and his “great destiny”?

Denathrius isn’t dead he just got sucked into that psychotic sword of his which then got stolen. Lothraxian being a mole into the army of the light would be an interesting twist.

So the nathrezim can “fuse” with any kind of energy right? Fel, light, void, life, death, arcane

Makes them the perfect infiltrators.

I still find it interesting that illidan was able to one shot their home planet right?

The Jailer is dead though, for me to believe Denathius matters at all anymore would be for him to become the second Jailer. He knew all about the Jailer’s plans as far as I’m aware, he created the spies and infiltrators to guide it into happening.

You mean Argus?

The warlock Gul’dan saw visions of Nathreza at some point in his life. Illidan Stormrage inherited these memories when he absorbed the Skull of Gul’dan’s power.[1][5] Illidan’s end goal was to destroy the Burning Legion’s stronghold of Argus, and the only place he knew of that contained clues to Argus’ location was Nathreza.

Yeah but does anyone really think Sire was going to share with Zovaal. I 100% think Sire planned to stab him in the back at some point and take the power for himself and now with Zovaal out of the way and Sire at large he still can. Who knows maybe he will pull an Azshara wait till the mawwalkers are off to somewhere else then slip in and take the mcguffin.

Heres what it says on the Wowpedia:

“The nathrezim were originally Death beings who were created by Sire Denathrius of Revendreth, one of the realms of the Shadowlands. In order to end a conflict between them and the Stonewright countless ages ago, Denathrius exiled the nathrezim to “a world beyond the Shadowlands”,[11] presumably meaning Nathreza.”

So if they were exiled from their home by Denathrius, why would they work for him as infiltrators and spies anymore? As far as I’m aware Revendreth is of the most vengeful creatures in the WoW Universe, they definitely would have had a grudge.

Also so they were created then to end a conflict with the Stonewright. Not to be spies and infiltrators on behalf of the Jailer. I don’t think Blizzard can even stay consistent with their own writing anymore.

Yeah something about he went to nathreza, looking for goods, and as he was porting back he basically nuked the entire planet. There’s still remnants maybe, but definitely a big play.

The in game story reveal that they never really left. Its during the Korthia Patch when you remake the covenant sigils.
