They always killed this mage in under 5 seconds, I managed to win 2 games still. This was pathetic. Worst lobby I have ever been.
Blizzard please fix your game, do something about melee dominance. It is getting really stupid. I really would not like to quit, but the game is unplayable for casters.
Precognition is trash, and you know it, 1 more sec precognition is just a terrible band-aid to a huge problem right now in WOW.
Edit: The 2 games I won was because they went the shaman healer and killed him in like 10 seconds.
same thing happens to me when I’m the only warrior with 3 ranged. we all get poop lobbies somtimes. doesn’t mean that melee or ranged are dominant, you just had bad luck.
This is a learn to play issue. If you have a healer, you have the means to not let any caster play as a melee, all casters have is nothing to stop melee from playing, since all abilities are instant and melee has infinite gap closers and can run much faster.
It is impossible to hard cast anything in a 3 melee lobby.
If you are a melee and go into a 3 caster lobby, it is basically a free win situation, because 1 caster will be disabled, while your caster partner will be free casting as casters only have 1 interrupt often.
I wouldn’t say rare but for the most part I agree with ya. However, all 3 melee / 1 ranged lobby’s aren’t considered equal.
Personally, being a warrior in a lobby with a Ret, a DH, and a caster like Mage was a miserable experience since my defensives are kinda hot garbage against spell damage and I don’t have the immunities to withstand late dampening so I kinda just fall over. I assume something similar happens to mages if they run into an all physical damage lobby as well
i guess multi r1 joe fernandez going 1-5 in a demo destro frost mage lobby about an hour ago was just him being bad and he needs to learn to play the game because hes a god melee and there is 0 counterplay to stop him from winning
lol gotta pray you have a really good healer on your team to save you like the boats seals jump on to escape the orca. I get what you mean though. Some classes just require having teammates that know how to synchronize with your class moreso than others and in RSS, its unrealistic to expect that but it still sucks
no its not his fault there is nothing an arcane mage with multiple blinks displacement knockback root ring of frost alter time temp sheild precognition Dragon breath that probably has a rogue teammate can do vs god melee to win its not his fault arcane is ranged so its bad if he was playing arms warr he would be 3k
Anecdotal, sure but I actually rarely get double melee lobbies on my warrior. I’m almost always against ele/lock/mage, and those lobbies where you get nailed to the earth feel really, really awful. Especially when you healer is just getting chain poly/feared and there’s nothing I can do to peel.
On the opposite end, being the only caster in a melee lobby is cancer as well. 3 unique kicks, plus you might have to worry about rebuke or windshear if you get a healer with one too. There’s just such a big problem with this game requiring kicks and staying power because of how raids and M+ are designed, that it leaks into PVP pretty terribly.
Hopefully a balance is found eventually, but I fear that this game has evolved too much to go back to a time when classes and specs had more well-defined weaknesses and strengths.
