It was just examples of other content that was touted as evergreen, that is lasting through season and xpac resets, only to be some vaporware.
This is morg’s parts engineer I wanted to see if it lets you see my KP build.
Edit: nope.

Evergreen doesn’t mean it will never see an update again. It’s an endgame pillar that is expected to continue onwards as dungeons and raids did.
Since i have to get knowledge points i do not mind doing some. but I am tired of getting patron orders that are only there to be a gold sink to get those profession knowledge points. once and a while a tailoring patron order provides mats or most of them, great. No reason I should be getting orders that require 5k to 25k in mats. I know blizzard does not set the prices on mats, but jesus there is zero reason why they cannot provide these mats. my alchemist? all the orders provide nothing, maybe the vendor mats.
What microblizz says and what it does are many times two very different things.
I never expect them to keep their word. Do you?
I just take it as part of the system. There’re the orders where the NPC provides everything, there’re the orders where the NPC provides nothing, and there’s everything in between. Just have to look at each order and decide whether it’s worth the reward. Most of the time I’ll do an order if it provides KP regardless of what it costs, but a lot of orders end up being 500g or less and many of the rewards I consider to be worth that cost. Augment runes, +skill finishing reagents and a lot of stuff from the loot bags will often surpass the cost of the order, but then there’s acuity as well which I can’t get enough of as I work towards getting better tools.
I think the folks implying that they want patron orders to be completely free to complete are asking a bit much, personally.
Yeah I do not want them to be free and do not mind provide mats to a reasonable extent. most of the orders i see are 2k plus in mats. i have seen a couple that at time would cost 25k. now maybe 15k in mats, i do not even look at prices of mats on those anymore. It would not be so bad if they weren’t the only way to earn knowledge regularly.
Yeah, there’s a lot of knowledge given out by the system, but they’re also regularly offered from cheap orders just as it’s offered from the more expensive ones.
But I guess tailoring is once again fairly cheap overall compared to other crafting professions; cloth is relatively inexpensive as always and there’s no need for more expensive things like null stones or tinderboxes that other professions have to deal with.
I personally just decided to ignore those knowledge points, because I won’t play their bad Patron Order game.
This is how it is becoz nobody uses Work Orders.
If EVERYONE is making work orders for crafters, it would be easier for all of us to craft 5-stars. The fact that nobody uses them, you are feeling it now why Crafting is so hard to craft 5-stars.
For now, only whales, bots and some rich folks can craft 5-stars.
fascinating fable, Fabio!
Patron Orders were asked for so that people could complete the weekly quest. No one asked for Patron Orders to use extreme rare mats, require two and three star mats, etc.
They just wanted a guaranteed way to finish a weekly quest.
What we got was a bad monkey’s paw.
Patron work orders is there if nobody is on Public Orders.
Public Orders is constantly Zero. Thats the problem.
To craft better quality stuff, you have to continuously craft high quality stuffs… use yiur concentration often… maximize its cd.
Public orders should be aiding us to craft high quality stuff. But it is always Zero.
Im not sure if guilds are using Guild orders. That helps the guildies on improving quality on their crafts.
No thanks. I’m not playing their games. Profession system was fine last expansion and just needed tweaks to the work order system to make it more consistent.
It didn’t need turned into an end game pillar of constant grinding and extreme rare mats.
They literally announced it as an evergreen feature.
So . . . keep giving them money every month?
You are not doing M+ or Raid anyway. Why craft 5 stars?
Have you seen the World First? Have you look at their gear, flasks, pots, enchants? All 5-stars.
Why M+ and Raid is hard? Wonder why? No enchant, no flask, no max level crafted item.
And you need all 5-stars on your buffs.
Yeah they get preferred status at the beginning of an expansion there’s always a bug like the cave in the maw where they could safely grind rep. Like the dirt piles in DF giving them endless knowledge points. Like the profession shuffle that allowed rapid advancement of professions.
Never changes.
Why in the world do you need to spend 5,000 gold in consumables to solo delves?
I have 4 characters (Ret Paladin, Resto Shaman, Feral Druid, BM hunter) that all clear their delves daily with zero consumables.
Don’t get me wrong. I think Patron orders are a rip off, especially blacksmithing ones wanting me to pony up tens of thousands of gold worth of high quality materials, but the comment on delves seems silly.
I do like the idea of Patron orders, but them asking for recipes we haven’t learned is pretty awful tbh.
Been doing T8 delves without consumables on a 595 Frost Mage. Heck, did my first one as fire. It just takes kiting.
