So I reinstalled Rift MMO with all graphics setting to max

LOL in the game it was still ugly and I was the only one in the game.

Rift, is an excellent example of a game with potential, but had no charm. As silly as it seems, a big part of WoW’s success (to me) is that when I’m playing I can see the human touch in the game. The little pithy remarks from the NPCs as you irritate them is a callback to the earlier Warcraft games, but it is appreciated in WoW. So many examples of character being infused in WoW is a big reason it was so successful and still an entertaining game to this day.

Rift, was a game that could have had that, but didn’t have the right crew to give it that little, Je ne sais quoi.

I was among those that played Rift on its original release when the game had the usual mmo hype around it.

I thought the rift “gimmick “ was kind of neat. But as I ran around engaging in rift battles and doing quests I found for me personally the game had no soul maybe it’s what others explained already but I don’t really remember playing much longer beyond a couple months.

Yeah i couldnt stand the ugly game either, i do remember playing it in the past. But i couldnt get back in there.
