So... I queued into the 110,111-119 bracket(s)

Uh, what was a mistake. Did this a few times last night and it was very painful.

Queued into a WSG – enemy team had 3 level 110 chars with greater than 300 honor levels. Marks hunter with honor level ~367, 3 Azerite pieces with the SS trait that buffs Aimed shot. Neck at level 47. iLvL 264.

They didn’t even bother focusing the heals. So I was allowed to sit in the back and free cast as a resto shaman while they deleted the rest of the team one at a time… until it was my turn. lol Probably the most healing I’ve ever done in a random. Over half a million in heals in the first few minutes.

After a bit we, well most of us, just decided to stay ghost and run mid. Couple of guys afk’d at the GY and just auto rezzed to be knocked off. Other team capped one flag and then didn’t bother. Just ran out the clock.

I stayed in the BG so it wouldn’t backfill someone else into my spot. Plus I wanted to know how much damage the Marks would rack up over the course of the match. 1.5Million damage, 79 kills.

Looked him up. 94% win rate Classic Arathi Basin, Between 81% and 86% win rates on Silver Shard Mines, Eye of the Storm and Twin Peaks. 100% on AV and IoC, but number of those played was insignificant.

I think the lesson is to sit out of the leveling Battlegrounds in BfA. lol

I mean I’ve been GY camped before. It happens. This was… sublime. It was a whole new level of GY camping… Not gonna lie watching chars just get deleted out of the raid frame was… wow.

The best part was I spent ~10 minutes talking to folks about PvP and other stuff. Nobody raged, people were bummed, but no one came unglued. Probably more talking than any other BG I’ve been in this expansion…

Anyone else have memorable leveling experiences this expansion?

Edit - Changed the title to reflect what actually happened. I leveled out of 110 and was queuing into 111-119. The WSG match mentioned in this post was while my char was level 110. Thanks to Sockfullafel for pointing out my mistake.

I had one the other day WSG, 30’s bracket. Horde was pretty much deleting us all with 1-2 hits, (team full of MM hunters and arcane mages), they capped two flags within just a few minutes, and we had a full 9 minutes left on the fight.

We were getting GY locked, and people weren’t even rezzing anymore, just staying dead.

By this time, we were down to 5 people left on our team, and no backfill was joining.

We had lost, and we knew it, but nobody was mad, we all just kinda was chatting about how it happened sometimes.

They finally retreated, and me and some others stealthed to the flag room, and… you won’t believe this… spent the next 5 minutes literally dancing with their team.
No one attacked anyone, we were cheering and dancing with one another.

Weirdest moment ever, but was actually really fun despite the loss.

Also had a BFG where we all wound up going for WW, no one capped it, and … no one died. Not one death. Game ended on a 1500/1500 tie!
I have never seen that before, ever!

Was in WSG once as Alliance and we started the match down a couple of people. We took off for mid and basically got melted by the Horde team. While sitting in the GY 6 of the 8 left at the same time. I remember seeing the 6 leave messages pop up one after the other. Leaving me and a druid in ghost form. The match didn’t back fill, it just ended with the 2 of us and 10 Horde…

I’ve had funny things happen during children’s week too. Nothing as epic as your experiences though. I do remember one WSG, popping into the flag room on my feral druid and there were a couple of people there with their orphan’s out.

I grabbed the flag and dropped it in front of one of them and then pointed to them. Took them awhile to click it. Then I picked it back up and dropped it front of the other. They both left the BG and were back filled with folks that wanted to PvP and we had a good match.

Another time, on this hunter, I was trying to down a blood elf holy paladin once in IoC. We were alone at the Refinery. She just healed through my damage and danced when not healing. Along with waving at me… Eventually some more Horde came along and I ran away. lol

One Arathi Basin I was knocked off at Lumber Mill on my warrior only to charge back to the guy that did the knock back. Got knocked off again and came back with heroic leap.

Were you in the 111-119 bracket, or the 110 bracket? They’re separate.

If you were 110, I know who you were talking about. I brought their priest alt down to 40% winrate because they kept queueing against me. Unfortunately I’ve been separated by 8.2 and can’t queue against them anymore. I see them on every day for about 12 hours GY farming the Horde in the 110 bracket.

Sad times.

That player mostly plays hunter now, same playstyle.

I know, boom faiosjfdhi or whatever. He still rollin with 3 heals to protect him while he farms 18k health players?

Kind of embarrassing.

The good news is Rickjamez is coming back, and he alone could whoop most of them.

Who knows, maybe its time for the Horde’s return.

I am waiting for the 110 horde twinks.

Are you new to 110 twinking? I haven’t seen you around.

We used to have some good rivalries going, sorry that its not quite what it used to be :frowning:

Yea I guess.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake. Yes I was queueing into 110 until I leveled out and then tried a couple of randoms at 111 because I figured I had “escaped”. Not. lol

I changed the post title to reflect what happened.

Really? I’ve been having a fun time with the 119 bracket on my frost mage. Never really encountered any twinks yet.

Your team crushed my team in Seething Shore. I think we started down a couple of players and then it got worse from there.

I’ve only played that battleground twice, and I don’t have any feel for it at all…

Well… nobody like WSG guy, but ran into a couple of 118-119 mages and the disparity between someone with basic quest stuff at Azerite level 2 and someone at Azerite level 80 or 140 with some gear is pretty big.

It’s like all through leveling in PVE content, everything scales with you so it takes the same time to kill stuff from level 20 to level 120. You don’t really seem to “get better as you level.” With PvP in BfA scaling seems to have a much higher impact.

I hit 120 on my Unholy DK with an Azerite Level of 8 and 3 or 4 Azerite pieces equipped that I picked up along the way. I only did about 1 3/4 zones though and one dungeon on my DK to get to 120. (Had warmode off on the DK too.)

You’re encountering people like that in the 119 bracket? Someone else was saying they’re seeing 119 twinks, but I haven’t personally.

I’ve been under the impression that only the 20s and 110 bracket survived the separation.

Yeah - Armoried them after the battles. Didn’t look at the whole team, just looked at 2 or 3 of the top DPS.

Plus, always remember that the plural of anecdote is not data. I just did a couple randoms at 111 and then thought I’d be better off leveling for a bit.

I think I’ll avoid randoms this weekend and then try to queue again when I’m up at maybe 114 or 115 to see how things look.

Supposedly theres a way to manipulate packets or some nonsense in order to get into BGs. No clue what that means, but I suppose it could be legit.

Get your 3 azerite pieces and you will compete pretty well.

Looking forward for him to come back

Hopefully he has time to do weapon swap before cc train

twinking is alive and well

heirlooms used to be a de facto basic gear standard for sub-max bg’s but they nerfed the crap outta them

Twinking is life.
