Yeah, I’m pretty much in agreement with you. Too many of my “Teammates” want to rush south for a quick win. They use the exact same strategy every time, and it rarely works. It feels like most of them aren’t even interested in actual PvP.
Honestly, the biggest part of this issue , besides Xrealm, is that for good, high rank Horde PvPers AV is still a viable option. Alliance on the other hand, due to instant queues tend to join WSG avter the AV changes.
The mentality issue has to do with these players. When a Horde team of 15-20 R7+ consistently face off alliance premades, they will try and win and because they are good, they will manage to do so every now and then.
Yet, even these few wins help to boost morale for the casual pvper and by now you will find very few Horde that join an AV, even against trully good premades with a 'oh I ‘m gonna lose’ mentality
Hi this is Ott I am new to pvp. Once I tired pvp, I loved it. AV is nearly perfect as far as the map goes. The back door into alliance and the shorter distance horde starts with is what you would expect in warfare. The challenges are that alliance needs to get out of their boxed in thinking, start working as a team. As an alliance player now with over 700 runs que’d at different times in a 24 hour period we fail as a team. 90% of the time you’re alone fighting the horde because the rest rushed off, they don’t regroup once killed off or the ones that just stand and watch. @ Horde, the times I don’t even try is because Im in the middle of trying to get others to come help. Random runs alliance has won 16% of the time Horde 84% But this is not because things are unfair, life is unfair, more so because they work a a cohesive group. Period. I know this because in between my deaths I have observed them at all areas of the map. I have gsined respect for them for this. As for premades welcome to life. If you want perfection and fast, join them. They have channels just for runs. I joined it even though I have not run with them yet. When I started ;good or bad I set a goal to reach rank 9 on my own in the melting pot of pugs. I’m glad I did so much has been observed and learned. I had the pleasure of running with a handful of premades. Very easy to follow even though I never jumped on discord. I do think pugs should listen to actual pvpers and premades who actually have fought the good battles up the ladder they can enlighten us on becoming better. To the alliance I am thankful to the handful of individuals I have come across in av who gave me good advice. Those runs were amazing. To the Horde if you see that little gnome wave to you it’s her way of giving respect. She will die many deaths but watch out if she can she will get you! Remember it’s a game have fun, battle till the finish earn your rank. Afk people stop que’ing and people who spam just let the horde win don’t join. That simple then the others who want to play can.
I don’t know what to do. I’m so exceedingly frustrated with loss after loss after loss. In fact, haven’t won a single game in two weeks. That’s unheard of for the years I’ve played this. Never in the past has it been so pathetic. It’s gotten to the point I go in, see what we got, if it’s a good group I keep fighting with them. If not, heck with hit, hitting the cave and staying there till it’s over. Rarely is it a good group,it’s that bad…I’ve got 7k to go to hit exalted, at this rate that’ll take 20 games whereas Horde can go through a entire honor line in 4 games win after win. Takes them 4 to 6 games to progress per honor line. Us? 30 to 60!! Even with the longer ques, Horde is far far better off. It’s so bad I even considered at one point doing a faction transfer, getting the quick easy wins and honor and rank and jumping back to Alliance. But I think I’m just going to quit at this point. No sense in continuing this.
The Alliance is facing a learned helplessness at this point. The puggers have been beaten into submission at Stonehearth for a couple months now and they’re waiting on Blizzard to fix the issues. The premades in pugs are trying to lead sometimes but being met by apathy or defeatist attitudes. A solid group of players just AFK. And all of this happens while the Alliance starts in a two-down position due to the Horde’s map and racial advantages. The impasse to build up a belief that Alliance can win, and the amount of effort it would actually take to win, are huge… and with instant queue games everyone gets demotivated real quick when spawning into a cave camping all-red map situation.
So many ally are simply AFK right from the get go, as well as the players that rush as fast as they can to their favorite hiding spot followed by going afk as well.
It’s no wonder Ally lose every game, you can’t really fight when its realistically about 20vs40
Not even 5 minutes into the game and I find people in the strangest of locations, even when the ally that ARE playing are putting up an excellent but slowly retreating fight
