So I Heard You Need Shamans

I play a Shaman on Nightslayer. My main spec is Enhance, that’s what I would like to play. I stay in my own lane, just PVPing. I’ve done the raids but I was forced to heal in all of them. I would SR healing gear, because I could tell I was going to be healing instead of Enhance.

All the loot I got from the raid was for healing. My prebis is for Enhance.

People message me for things. A lot of recruitment. They say, “Hi, we’re looking for Resto shamans” I tell them that I’m Enhance, thanks for the offer. Then they go, “we can slot in an Enhance”.
Okay, forgive me for being skeptical or whatever, but if you could slot in an Enhance, why not just say you’re recruiting ALL shamans in your opener?
The last guild I was in that accepted me forced me to heal, I never got to play Enhance and I had no idea when I was ever going to be able to, if I was ever going to be able to. It was confusing for me to place my SR or go for more prebis and the dynamic of juggling 2 possible roles made it difficult to make consumable decisions, it was basically just an added burden for me for no actual reward. Even if I decided I could juggle it, it would take twice as much time.

TL;DR: Without going too much into an entire novel here, I think my point is that there is something going on with the community and Shamans.
If you’re going to require a class to adhere to a role or a specific micro (like totem twisting, literally had someone bring it up in a recruitment dialogue) you might need to start offering an incentive. No one is going to switch up for an empty promise anymore, especially if they’ve been taken for granted already.

Nobody cares…

you are playing a complete and total meme that has no place in classic.

Go over there with the ret pallies and boomkins :point_right: (its pointing to retail btw)

You can find a good guild as enhance if you have nightfall. You’ll make the mages hit harder.

a “good guild” runs 25 warriors and doesnt care about nightfall for the 1 mage and 1 warlock in the group lol

That’s an exceptional guild, a good guild just clears content.

Its the 5th relaunch of classic lol… i guess 90% of guilds are “good” guilds hahaha

On dreamsythe 154 guilds are 8/8. Thats most of the guilds.

i guess the bar for “good” is extremely low these days.

Yes. Yes it is, an average parse for damage is 80, so yes it’s very low.

Im happy for you or I’m sorry that happened to you.

It’s okay, come TBC you can play whatever shaman spec you want and get invited. Then if they renege just threaten to go elsewhere and they will cave.

TLDR: guy plays healer class shocked he has to play healer.

This has been known for the past 20 years. Enh is a meme. You picked the healer class. You heal.

Keep searching, my guild is in the top 6% for speed and execution and we bring a ret(who, thanks to use killing things so fast, gets to be one of the top in the world for his spec).

Requires 5 raid teams to gear the warriors for the one speed clear just so that they can meme 1 run.

speed clears with 25 DPS Shaman would be more interesting

If you want to play enh in Vanilla, go to Era. I know the guild on Grobb will take anything.

Sadly the anniversary playerbase are the sweatiest tryhards in the history of the game. Clearing the raid doesn’t matter. Clearing the raid with no wipes doesn’t matter. Clearing the raid as quickly as possible so they can logout of this game they hate is their main objective.

Very interesting to look at.

Looks like hes totem twisting and meleeing mostly.

Tempting.

I don’t need Sheamus. What are you talking about?

6 shamans in a raid, i pass

Those are terrible parses considering the enh population

I’d love to look at more.
