Got me to thinking, how neat would it be if we had more cosmetic backpacks. These backpacks could represent professions like for example, a mining backpack with a pick attached to it so people would know you are a miner. These could be made by Tailors or Leather workers.
I just love the overall aesthetics of backpacks, it feels perfect for the adventurer who stays away from cities often, I know it isn’t for everyone but I am sure there are few like myself that would like more backpack options.
The only reason I was raising my cloak was for the backpack. Unfortunately when I found out I had to raise my corruption skills before I could get it I said forget it. I could care less about a cloak I am going to probably dump in Shadowlands but the backpack transmog is forever.
More excited for the Shadowlands covenant back pieces. So tired of cloaks and cloaks and more cloaks. Give me a rocket, a parachute, wings, chemical backpack, etc…
We (warlocks) had a major glyph back in like, cataclysm(?) that gave us a psuedo tanking form and there was a minor glyph for it that caused our demon hunting mode to just give us wings instead of full metamorphasis so long as we had that ability toggled on we had wings all the time.
Still waiting for cosmetic things that are not fluffy cartoonish stuff.
Could really use some good more dark or epic themed things that are not teenager accessorizing.
This has been an item of contention for years with Blizzard.
Transmog system is a goldmine for RP and collectors and completionists…yet they squander it.
Blizzard would rather prune professions to something non-existent, remove any sort of longevity by creating some sort of all-inclusive snowflake content, than to have long involved and difficult to obtain flavor items.
Shadowlands is going to be providing a ton of backpack-like transmog pieces.
Kyrian are getting Valkyrie wings, giant emblems on their backs, and what is essentially a massive halo.
The other covenants don’t have much revealed yet, but we know Venthyr are getting a massive tombstone, Necrolords are getting giant bone wings, and Ardenweald have two giant moths on their back
