As the title suggests, i got kicked from a timewalking group.
How? Well here is my story:
It started off with accepting the dungeon queue for timewalking, which then proceeded to transfer abort since the instance was apparently full.
After two tries to enter the dungeon i finally got in, with my team reaching the steps of the first boss: Saboteur Kip’tilak.
I raced over as fast as i could to join my team with speed boosts; but as i reached halfway, our tank looked at me (targeted me) and decided not to wait.
He engaged the boss which locks out anyone who wasn’t in the room already and i had to wait until they were done which is fine by me.
Understanding they wanted to speed up the run, i went ahead and looted the boss; then proceeded to skip the somewhat lengthy trash that appears between the wall and the next boss; pulling aggro to myself.
As i’m playing a mage alt, i can easily make them chase me; slow/cc them if need be and then reset at the elevator with invisibility.
I nearly made it to the dungeon adds guarding the outside of the elevator when i got kicked from the group and incurred Dungeon Deserter.
I’m not quite sure why it was justified to kick me from all 4 votes.
TL;DR: My group doesn’t want to wait for me; and when i take point to hasten the dungeon i get kicked.

It’s odd behaviour from them.
Hope you end up with better parties! <3

Thanks! I guess you meet players of all sorts online.

You deserve better from the WoW community. That experience would have been a let down.

I just wish the vote to kick button wasn’t abused in that way…not the first time for me; but it could degrade a newcomer’s first experience in dungeon groups where say they would be expected to know everything about how the dungeon works or be kicked for falling behind.
It happened in real time to my friend Rhi.
I was watching her play on her Boomkin as a new player when I was chilling on discord. She was dotting stuff like the guide but used moonfire on one wrong pack by mistake (first mistake 70% through atal’dazar) btw. Absolutely berated in chat, told her damage was crap and kicked.
She stopped playing. Incredible community!
Unfortunately, Blizz has washed their hands of the vote kick system, and it’s working as intended. This is what happens when you play with random people because random people suck.
Yeah that’s so not helpful of them. Honestly they should have included what they thought she should have done better instead of cut and dry removing after a negative confrontation like that.
No context on what she could have done better and just from 1 mistake which would have been quite trivial at that.
What was the point of keeping her for the first 70% of the dungeon in the first place?
