So I got "Hand of Edward the Odd"

Its effect is “Chance on hit: Next spell cast within 4 sec will cast instantly.” Which means you can insta cap flags in BG’s and even insta Hearthstone. Due to it OP nature what are the chances of it being nerfed later in the games life like it was in retail.

i’m clueless on when it was actually nerfed, but was it done during vanilla? or a later expansion?

because from what i’m told, broken tooth(pet) has the 1.0 attack speed from vanilla. it was changed during tbc to 2.0, which was a huge nerf to that cat. if something like that was left in classic, maybe this ‘hand of edward’ will as well.

Yes I believe it was changed during BC but with the whole meta being “balance” in 2019, I feel they’ll make an exception like they did with Demo shout getting nerfed a couple of days ago.

ah, well… I guess it’s possible. would be nice of blizzard to comment before someone makes the mistake of buying one, only to have it nerfed.

I was thinking more like making the mistake of not selling it before it gets nerfed.

It’s got patched in 1.7 to not cap flags anymore.

It is an interesting item for sure.

I used it briefly in original vanilla. The proc is highly inconsistent and seemed fairly low to justify using over a weapon with more damage and better stats.

The only case I can see it being decent is on a melee boomkin. Even then though, if the proc is like it was it will have a lot of famine and a few instances of, “OMG NERF DURIDS, THEY PULL AGGRO OFF DA TANK!”

Demo shout wasnt nerfed. It was fixed back to correct values. Just because people were abusing a bug doesnt mean it got nerfed.
