I am going to shelf my three mains, that I have worked on all 9.0. Im not going to re-grind and re-craft all their legendary items. I am going to level one of my LV50’s to 60 and play it as my main.
Thats the route for me I think. The whole domination socket gear competing for gear slots with our current legendary items is garbage.
What class are you thinking of playing?
Raids needed something to pull players back in from M+ and rated PVP so this is a good thing.
Did they really? I think this is going against their goals of keeping three different pathways for endgame content for players by pushing too hard for raiding.
Your DPS won’t be very high without a 235 legendary so yeah.
Was referring more to the domination sockets in general. I don’t mind the legendaries since they also made farming soul ash easier. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the benefits of the sockets?
Oh, then yes they did. Why raid when you can spam M+ for bis gear instead and surpass heroic raid gear in a week or 2? The goal of the gems is to bring people back into raiding and out of M+ all the time.
Do you think that might have some unintended consequences? For instance, I’m focusing on M+ more so this expansion when I play since my schedule is more sporadic and I don’t always have time to raid. It’s really nice having the three different avenues they have set up for end game. But the current idea ensures I will have to raid if I want to optimize everything, which is a little frustrating.
I think there were other avenues they could have explored if they wanted to make raiding more appealing. Taking a look at their loot situation and increasing the amount of rewards comparatively to M+ could have been one such idea to make it so you could actually you know, get rewarded for the time investment and logistics of getting 10+ people together and doing a raid together.
I’m not overly upset about it, but I just think there was probably a better way to make raids more appealing to players is all.
It was a side effect of loot nerf and M+ dropping unlimited loot while raids had nothing worthwhile(once a week), so yes it will have some unintended consequences but everything will. One form of progression gets overshadowed by another and they will never truly be balanced. And even more so in 9.2 where they will re-add tier sets supposedly so you’ll have more reason to raid or have bad dps.
I feel like I am going to use my hands mostly but we’ll see.
Have fun grinding 80 renown but you do you, just don’t come and complain on the forum.
Assassination Rogue. My three mains are Ele/Resto Shaman. Shadow/Holy Priest. And a Prot Paladin.
This all depends on how things shake out, but the the re-grinding of leggos for domination gear spots is really grinding my gears.
My 9.1 is going to be raid logging Shadowlands and playing TBCC the rest of the time.
Personally, I plan to play 9.1 in the future. But that might change once it’s out. We’ll see.
Get KSM, and hopefully push a few 20s.
I think the best way to play 9.1 is to not play it for 2 months, then come back and do 2 months of timegated content in a week.
Me too! With one caveat - gonna rush ksm as early as possible so I can get m+ groups easily.
