So I can't pvp when I hit 120

Unless I want to grind for good azerite, essences and multiple other nitpicky things.

This is why mist of pandaria was the peak of WoW PvP.

Guess I’ll just reroll again

Won’t stop people from joining with 95k hp anyways

Max Level always has hurdles, whether its PvP or PvE. Tha’ts how its always been.

It’s actually funny fighting dks in lower brackets that can’t even use their trinkets lmao

Not in mop

Reforging was simple to understand and pvp gear was actually good for Pvp

Except that reforging only helped secondaries. If you didn’t have a good item level, and thus the raw stats … optimal layout of secondaries were of less value.

Now I don’t like the current system, but straight up, Max Level is a hurdle. It always will be.

what

you mean you don’t like to pve before you pvp?

what’s wrong with you?

Which you could easily get by just capping in arena… and was the only thing you needed.

The previous 4 expansions to WoW allowed you to hit max level, get your honor set (or use templates) and jump into competitive PvP after a weekend. MoP and WoD let you catchup on conquest gear (which was BiS…) really quickly as well. There is literally no comparison to now, where there a million different systems you have to go through before you can just PvP.

To be fair, MoP had crafted PvP gear that was equal to Honor Gear. You could level to 90, buy BoE’s from the AH for cheap (they didn’t cost much to make at all). Start queuing for random BGs if that’s your thing, or jump into low MMR Arena’s and Yolo RBGS for that Conquest Cap and be competent and not a determent to your team.

You got clapped if you immediately started PvPing in MoP

I do agree that without any PvP stats you would get trashed in MoP PvP any Conquest Geared Players, especially if they had a good iLvl over you. But many players didn’t mind getting trashed knowing they were earning some Honor and Conquest to buy upgrades.

You could slug through BGs over a weekend and have a full Honor Set and be ready to get a Conquest Weapon on the next reset.

Where’s today you gotta get all your BiS rank 3 essences, level your cloak, gear with M+ to 460+ before you even feel you can enter a random BG and not get trashed.

BFA PvP probably has the highest barrier to entry in all of WoWs History, and (almost) none of what you do to prepare is actually PvP content.

You want stat templates back :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I didn’t mind templates, but no. I’d rather have PvP stats back. I agree that gear should matter.

While I agree with you, there has NEVER been THIS many max level hurdles.

Exactly.

Hurdle after hurdle after hurdle

You’re not supposed to be all powerful day one of level 120
If you were why log on day two

This is a pretty silly question to ask in a thread about PvP. Do you think people stopped PvPing when they had their conquest set? Because they didn’t. Getting your BiS set was just the beginning. The reason you’d continue to log on is to continue to compete. PvP was never about chasing gear and gear was never the endpoint.

No but without progression and a drive to improve, may as well stick with a lower bracket. Wouldn’t have to worry about max lvl gearing.

Yeah its kind of annoying. My enh shammy had 40 marks of honor when he hit 120 and I know that number is never going to increase lol. I mean hes already 420 which is good, i think i can gear him in a few days probably.

These people act like previous expansions just gave you BiS gear immediately just for pvping.

why not, you just grinded 120 levels, you shouldn’t have less than a 10th % of someone health, stat inflation is so huge because they want to squish every other xpac, soon we will have to squish stats again, breaking more things, every patch in this xpac feels like an xpac and not a patch, the gear diference is so huge that nothing of what you have works past the patch, I remember having gruul trinket all the way to sunwell, pvp head piece s3 was good until you get s4 in sunwell, in here all that grind for manapearls was lost the moment next patch come out.

I like some grind, I don’t want this level of grind, not a single xpac was so grindy as legion and this. you need a good 8 hours a day to keep up. god forbid you play an alt.

this has become way too much, they basing the game on hardcore players and ppl usually don’t have that kind of time and dedication to play a game.

cant wait for TBC servers if they put them up. heck I will play tbc and wotlk non stop if they make servers.
