It’s not Phase 2 next week, just Dire Maul?

But then, I thought it a weird decision to launch the game without paladins and warlocks being able to do their epic mount quests, too.

Uh Phase 2 is still on schedule to be released late 2019. The only thing dropping on Oct. 15th is Dire Maul, everything else related to Phase 2 is still going to drop on it’s original intended time (World Bosses, Honor System, & Keyring).
Warlock mount is bad, costs mana and lots of gold too. You are better off with racial mount.
I got killed few times because no mana for mount after fight and couldn’t get away from reinforcements.
That’s how the original game was at launch, Dire Maul didn’t come out until around patch 1.3.
The cost difference of class mount vs bought is negligible if you take into consideration the cost of materials and time invested. Also, it’s a very good idea to have regular mount as warlock anyway due to mana cost. At level 60, you should be able to farm at least 50/gold an hour by this point. Not a significant loss if you really think about it.
Umm… you do not speak for every paladin and warlock. This news made me make a mess in my pantaloons. I am still trying to find out if the paladin mpunt quest will release with diremaul or if they will keep it phased.
Back to the point, no one told you to race to 60 and spend all your gold on an epic mount. Thats on you for not having patients and waiting for what was going to be phase 2. For the rest of us, this is awesome news.

I think I am more amazed that the OP was able to farm 1k and buy his epic mount a little 6 weeks after release.
I mean if you did it that fast you should have the double that cash by the time phase 2 drops!

reading comprehension issues for you it seems. you obviously didnt get your epic mount so youre not one i speak for.
You speak for absolutely no one but yourself.
You spent the money while you had limited information on the release schedule. Blizz never guaranteed that their plan wouldn’t change, and they never gave any actual dates for any releases at all. Their release plan even outright says “here’s what the release order CURRENTLY looks like.” They even sprinkled in “currently” more than once. They never claimed it would stay that way.
You made a choice you’re unhappy with now that you have more information. It sucks, but it’s not grounds to demand a refund.

who actually cares? having a normal epic mount is better than your class mount anyway. By buying it early you did yourself a favor.

Where do people keep getting this idea from? Blizzard never gave us hard dates on when anything was being released.
