A step above most previous xpacs, IMO. The artifact power train and w/e Shadowlands was were pain.
The only “wrong” here is pretending Legion was a decent expansion. I’m sorry you’re on the wrong side of history here.
To call Legion “phenomenal” is objectively wrong. Legion’s the reason why we had so many problems in BFA and SL. Legion was only “phenomenal” if you were some masochist who enjoyed M+ at its absolute worst, RNG legendaries that could screw you out of your class functioning due to absolutely nothing wrong on your end, an endlessly frustrating Artifact Power grind, the worst full-length raid we’ve gotten in a very long time in Emerald Nightmare, and the beginning of dumb and bad boss design with most of Tomb of Sargeras.
Oh, and the story was still bad even back then too. Some good moments here and there, sure, but still bad.
Every issue you may have had with BFA and Shadowlands? You can directly attribute every single one of them to the many, many failures of Legion.
Good thing we’re not pretending. ![]()
But it’s been 7 years; when does history begin? ![]()
Your reasons for disliking Legion are all fair…but I don’t see how it relates to “problems in BfA” or Shadowlands.
Blizzard was warned well ahead of time the issues BfA and Shadowlands had, but Blizzard decided that they knew better, and it blew up in their face.
Both times.
Every single issue I had with those two garbage heaps had nothing to do with Legion, save for one. The ONLY thing that was irritating was borrowed power. So. Glad you think you know everything when you know exactly nothing where I am concerned, but you are no longer worth my time, nor effort. Just like most people from Sargeras.
What, lol?
DF ruined professions, they made it yet another thing you have to no-life to get anywhere.
Legion was like DF, but simply just, better. DF is woefully soft for being a Warcraft game, probably the least war-like expansion yet.
I’mma die on that hill, that Legion was better, and I’m sure most would actually agree.
At least PvP in Legion was alive and well, and we had a new battleground to boot.
The expansion AFTER DF is giving us our first battleground in 9 years.
Imo, the ONLY thing DF will be remembered for, is the dragon-riding.
WoW is constantly being dunked on for not respecting your time, and DF is no different. Professions are 100% a time/gold sink and nothing more, before they weren’t and were very approachable by anyone.
You can’t just say Legion, the best expansion in recent memory, is on the ‘wrong’ side of history lol. Probably the last good expansion Retail has had. DF, for how good it was, died rather quickly, especially for PvPers.
Thus far, no one has agreed with him so there is that.
SL was probably my least favorite expansion I have played. Torghast was miserable.
I quit pretty early on and came back to DF around season 3. I have really been enjoying it.
I feel that. I quit the game about 3 weeks into SL because it was just terrible from the word go. I came back at the tail end, and it was still just as bad. But I stuck out the last couple weeks for DF and it’s been pretty alright thus far.
I was druid and rogue. Torghast was mad easy on those. I got Twisting Corridor cleared on day using mass root damage “cheese” i discovered. Cuz massroot never aggro’d and yet still did damage with powers. So you stand there and just back to back root and clear everythere.
But with rogue 100% vial CD reduction granted cloak and evasion, so u were basically immunte to everything 100% of the time xD
They did torghast dirty tho. It felt like a chore.
Honestly? A solid B+ expansion with moments of A-. All the raids were decent. Not amazing, but still solid. Dragon riding is just insanely good. Them dialing way back on upkeep tasks for each character… All in all I feel like this was solidly above SL and BfA, and for me was as good as late Legion. Definitely a step in the right direction at least.
Now if only next expac we could get back to decapitating people and having a bit more of the gritty part of war in the story. Definitely looking forward to see how TWW shapes up. I will say that the whole hero talent thing has the same concerns that I had with covenants.
Mid and late legion was better. Early Legion was awful… like really really really awful… Fortunately they fixed a lot of it relatively quickly.
easily the most boring expansion story wise
good tier sets art
As long as you aren’t a Paladin… ![]()
I will admit that the pally sets this time around left a lot to be desired in season 1 and 3. Personally, I love the Aberrus sets, but maybe I’m weird.
Well I personally loved it and the amount of gold I have made the most in an expansion history for me has been awesome as well the Dragon Riding the speeds of crossing an expanse was perfect.
Actually, a couple people here do agree with me and have expressed so in this very thread.
must be confused with WOD
Other than the early stages of legion, getting legendaries I will agree with, everything after that was great.
Clearly not. Warlords was actually good, the only bad thing about it was the lack of content.
I don’t use this word lightly because honestly I hate using it at all but…

True, it was better than I originally thought.
Shadowlands was 3/10…
Dragonflight was 4/10…
I’m expecting Warthin to be 2/10… Perhaps as good as 4/10, but no higher…
