No tea no shade no pink lemonade.
I mean I thought I might wanna do that covenant stuff but isn’t it just open world stuff?
So like real facts are like-- there any point to this? Like open world content in this game seems utterly irrelevant. No tea no shade no pink lemonade but that seems to be my observation.
So isn’t this covenant thing just useless?
other covenant activities have even less.
I can have a tea party with Lady Moonberry and she gives me a mount afterwards. What’s not to love.

Its very fun, I just got two new buds today.
I am still playing around with them but Naxx is neat so far, can stealth you without interrupting your current actions (mounted, hearthing, etc) and seems to do alright damage.
The other aboms all offer their own little things too like Flytrap can travel at 256% which is faster than any mount once you get going or one has a heal, depends on your class and what you get into in the open world.
You also can make a lot of handy items for getting around like summoning Tiggs where ever you want. The items you craft up aren’t limited to open world if that’s a worry (Lil’ Eddy is an important raid item for example) but they aren’t game changing or anything.
Pluuuuus get weekly quests with each of the aboms if you like running around, they give alright crafting mats as a reward, gear, money all sorts of treasure.
I did have a lot of fun with the Trials of Ascension when I was Kyrian, good challenge at first, but I didn’t find it as useful as the factory so far. Also only had one weekly quest so less rewards.

It was one of the contributing reasons as to why I stopped playing retail.
The amount of anima needed for upgrades was not worth it in return.

“Just” open world. There’s a lot of open world stuff if you’re willing to do it. If you want to be annoyed by it, try the idea that by the time you get to where you can craft really good abominations, you don’t need them.
Anyway, you can get mounts and pets through it, which alone makes it worthwhile to me. And with the Kidney Soulstone, there’s really no place I need to put my anima.

It’s just a way to get pets and mounts. If you don’t care about those then you don’t need to do it.
You can also get transmog through the other sanctum upgrades, if you’re interested in that.

As far as I’ve been able to tell, the abomination factory is by far the best covenant system out of the 4. Relatively fast and painless to maintain, can ignore parts you don’t like, can customize and get utility out of the aboms that are actually useful etc. Plus there’s the fact that you can just outfight buy all the mounts that everyone else has to pray to the rng gods to get, right off the abom vendor.

probably the least annoying one weekly quests with some what decent requests and the rep isnt bad… granted I didn’t bother too much into it but it’s totally better than venthyr/kyrian events that you need to do before even doing their events.
Iron Phillip can solo elite 62s soooooo… there’s that.
The ways this could ve interpreted.

I dunno. What did people say the last time you posted this?
there are two problems for me:
1 - I can’t choose a zombie and go to the maw;
2 - To get the final set from the factory, the amount of anima and resources needed are insane;
So I gave up on the factory.
I gave up on this game too, I’m just on the forum exchanging ideas because I find the interaction with the people here amusing, but the game is in a bad, horrible spot right now.

The Abomination Factory is the only one that gives you a combat benefit in the open world. The Queen’s Conservatory can give you the 4 covenant sanctum mounts for free, though, and the Ember Court can give you three of them, besides the Silvertip Dredwing. The other two require you to pay anima for all the mounts.
I just hosted a party where Duke Theotar told the most remarkable story about a dredger and a large bottle of port. The entire table was in stitches! It was the party of the season!!
