They created a terrible product that only split the community moreso and made even more elitists than ever before. I pretty much don’t care how they feel

That’s life when you develop a mod. Always a chance the game studio will poach it and build it into the game. They knew this. It’s happened many times before.

We’ve got the inside scoop on a previously unannounced feature launching with Patch 9.1, “Chains of Domination”:
Blizzard will be implementing a core Raider. IO feature: Mythic+ Scores! We have been both an advocate and the primary driver of Mythic+ Scores in the community since we started tracking Mythic+ over 4 years ago, so we’re flattered that Blizzard is acknowledging how important this system has become by adding it directly into World of Warcraft.
The WoW development team has been in contact with us on this new Mythic+ scoring system, and they’ve expressed that they have designed theirs in a very similar way to how the Raider. IO Mythic+ Scoring system works.
We’re eager to bring you deeper coverage of this system, including exactly how it works, and how it will be incorporated into Raider. IO - once the feature is live on the PTR.
We look forward to continuing to provide the community with the high quality features, content, and events that you’ve always come to expect from us!

So they are digging themselves a hole. They are actively working with Blizzard to make their product redundant, and probably for free too. But like all addons, we all know they need to be free to use, making money from the website was never going to last forever.
The site will get plenty of usage. Most people I’ve talked to will continue using the io addon. Blizzard’s isn’t really very good yet.

RaiderIO will still have a place for showing how many M+ runs a player has at different breakpoints which is largely more useful than the score itself. RaiderIO will also show the previous season score which is helpful going into a new one.

The site will still generate plenty of traffic. The Blizzard version will never be as detailed in it’s history tracking as “IO” currently is.

will they mind when their website traffic drops exponentially ? Not saying it will, but if I were betting gold on it I’d wager it drops. This is an event that makes them less useful.
lmao. people that complain about raider io aren’t in the player pool to pull from for group content anyway. with or without it, those people barely play the game unless it’s auto win content.

That would be true if Blizzard was just doing a straight copy/paste of the addon, but raiderio is probably still going to be more useful than what Blizzard has managed to come up with. As far as I’m aware, Blizzard won’t be tracking total timed keys in a certain range. It’ll be too risky to rely on it.

I neither complain about it, besides this post mine you, and I use it. My point still stands. Many use it because we have to. It’s still dumb and toxic

Ok I’m so happy for the creators of this mod. They have enhanced the game i ways we could only have dreamed of in 2004. Better?
Hopefully they lose all of their revenue for bringing that toxic garbage to the game.

I don’t know that I agree that it’s toxic. It’s just gauges experience. The worst thing that can happen is that someone declines you for a group…which happens to everyone. I wouldn’t take that as a personal insult.
