So how DO you pronounce Ythisens?

I pronounce it Yith isens, could be Thisens though with the y being silent.

I’ve always pronounced the Y like in Yggdrasil, like “Ih-thee-sens”

I always pronounced “Yggdrasil” as “Yah-drah-sill”, so I imagined Ythisens in my head as “Yah-thisens”.

Weird I know, but I was a kid when I first saw the word Yggdrasil when playing Xenogears.

Exactly the same here. My brain always says “Yithens” just to make it less complicated.

It was a good moment in the cast when Lore realized he’d never said it out loud. I had a good laugh on that one. I can relate as I read a lot, then will finally see a live adaptation or an author interview and go: “Wha… ohhh…

I can’t pronounce half the proper names in the game. That became painful apparent when my kids started playing and i had ro read quest dialog to them.

It was so embarassing.

It’s pronounced “Dave.”

Old Gods language is my favorite.

So is the D silent?

I pronounce it “the blue ox” seems easier…

Imagine my dismay when I found out that Yrel, which I had been saying as “ee-RELL” this whole time, is actually pronounced “Yurrel.”

I pronounce it “that guy” as in “Neall, you know that guy with the community thing and the forum whatever”.

Ythisen claims Lore got his name right on the first attempt during the QA so, whatever that was is the correct response.

We just refer to him as our Yak King, Overlord of us all!

He says “Yith-uh-sins” though, but there’s an I in the middle of the name. I’m a bit skeptical here…

Not sure

E-Thigh-Sins maybe?
