so how do i turn on my XP bars?

i looked in EVERY setting in the options list. i went through all the keybinding nothing. there is no enable. so im just going by 4 - 6 randoms pr level ? wen i could be looking at a bar to tell me my xp

Do you use any addons that might have changed it? I know I use Bartender and I have to go in there to manually turn it on to see my xp bar.

Do you have any addons or are you on the default ui?

If you have no addons, try this

1)Press "Enter" to activate the text bar underneath your chat box. You will see a blinking cursor in the bar.

2) Enter the following code into the bar, without quotes: "/script MainMenuExpBar:Show()". Ensure that you have correctly capitalized the code as shown, as casing matters to the game code.

3)Press "Enter" to complete your code. Your experience bar will appear on the screen.

Hi, I followed the 3 steps with "/script MainMenuExpBar:Show()" without quotes and don't see an exp bar. I'm a newbie more or less and have never seen an exp bar, or even exp to reach the next level in my character stats. I see agility, stamina, damage, attack, dodge, etcetera, but nothing anywhere about exp except maybe a text line when I do a quest or something. Why isn't it just a default bar like hp and focus, or on the character info submenu with the stats?

With the default UI (no addons) the XP bar would be right above your spells and is usually colored blue. May be another bar right above it for reputation.

I still have my XP bar and Rep bar for my lower level toons, but turned it off on my 100's a long time ago. I have viewed several videos related to turning on the XP bar and see that the latest update has removed the "Status Text" menu line from the interface Menu. I think this is an issue that will have to be addressed from Blizzard as a patch.

If you enable Bartender as an addon you have an option on that to toggle the XP bar on and off. It appears in the middle of your screen the moment you toggle it on. Then you just position it. Forgot I had that old addon actually. Just did it this morning because my brand new DH didn't have it when I created her.

i never turned my xp bar off and it was gone aswell but as always ty for posting the temp fix guys.

Hey Everyone,
If you are running Bartender4 look at the top right icons. You should have a beer mug looking icon, right click it and you will see the option for EX Bar. Click it and check the box, after you have done this you may have to reposition the bar by going back to the same icon and just click it. All of your action bars will be highlighted which you then click and drag to desire location. I have just tried this out before typing this info for you all. Hope this helps

I dont see a beer mug

Edit: I found it! You have to type /bt in chat. Then find "XP Bar" in that, and then enable it.

Easy way.....type in /bartender....scrool down to EXP bar ....click then move it.

Gotta be a better response than entering a conversation that started 3 years ago and ended almost 4 months ago.

I have not been on this game in 3-4 years and I am having trouble fixing this same issue... I have attended the guy in SW and paid gold also read a few forums I am currently running normal UI and unable to find a solution as I am not levelling or not sure if I am gaining any exp either any suggestions other than opening a ticket would be very helpful

Unless you have Legion, you won't be able to earn any xp on a level 100 toon. By default at level cap, the XP bar will disappear.

So, the answer then, is 1) Buy Legion and 2) post in a new thread (please) if after you install it, you still can't see your XP bars.

Although I really like Istre's response above.

In Legion, Bartender seems to still bug out with level 100s returning to the game. Even when properly enabled, it does not show up. It's a shame but it may just not work.

Haven't had any issues Bartender 4 regardless of character level.

In Bartender 4, you click the second to last option after you right click: "Status Tracking Bar".
