So, how did Zin-Azshari

End up so impossibly far away from the Maelstorm? …

The Zin-Azshari in Nazjatar is actually just a cardboard replica Azshara had her naga build for her.

The ghosts are just naga with sheets over their heads.

She took Bikini Bottom, and she pushed it somewhere else

Eastern kingdom, northrend, kalimdor, pandaria, other places. All these continents use to be one landmass. Zin-azsrari move very little considering. It’s more got blown down.

The Zone of Azshara had part of Zin Azshari in it… The City was huge! The Palace of Azshara of course was drawn directly into the Maelstrom while Azshara was holding off the flooding of the Well of Eternity in the Zin Azshari Marketplace.

Why wasn’t Azshara in the Palace? We chased her out getting the Dragon Soul… One of the changes to the True Timeline that was caused in defeating Deathwing. We turned Nazjatar from a place at the bottom of the Maelstrom into a place east of it in order to grab the Dragon Soul!

The True Timeline of course only cares about the Sands/Moments of the Hourglass falling down not which way they fell…

I should inform you that in the Raid we will face a Faceless One Herald whose master N’Zoth is projecting an image of where we will fight Azshara: the Circle of Stars in Ny’alotha where N’Zoth’s prison is west of the Maelstrom between Kul’Tiras, the Broken Isles and Vashj’ir!

Plate tectonics.

… what?

Kul Tiras, the Broken Isles and Vashj’ir are east of the Maelstrom, not west

bro, did you even see that wave?

I think I got East and West mixed up(it’s hard to remember which of the two is which unlike North and South)… N’Zoth’s prison is east of the Maelstrom between Kul’Tiras, the Broken Isles and Vashj’ir.

Stranger still is that Nazjatar’s Zin-Azshari seems to be east of the Maelstrom while “Azshara” (land) is still pretty much attached to Kalimdor…on the west…

THe sundering resulting in the maelstrom pushed the continents apart.

Like mentioned before at one time they were one land mass

AS were the continents of earth at one time

We dont actually know where it is. But yeah, theres no hints of the malestrom being nearby at all.

It didnt push them apart that much. It simply sank everything in the middle. You can see this pretty clearly in the chronicle maps. Not to mention chronicle also shows Nazjatar on the edge of the malestrom. In game just doesnt represent this at all.

Yeah,. It just feels weird that somehow the area that was quite literally right next to the maelstorm’s center, and which sank, is now found -seemingly- far away from both the maelstorm and the once-surrounding land.

I guess this is right. The maps give you the idea of it being somehwere between Zandalar and Kul Tiras (likely close to Broken Isles) …but it’s not actually confirmed.

Clearly the great capital of the Night Elf Empire was huge! It reached from the Well of Eternity all the way to Azshara!

Poor Spongebob, Azshara made him homeless

Actually it did.

Zin’azshari was in the middle of Kalimdore which was all of the Continents combined at one time. Also it is believed that the ruins standing in the zone Azshara were part of the city that didn’t collapse.

Wait…where is Nazjatar on the map…I’m confused now :frowning:

The markers are like all over the place in game because they aren’t one big map just multiple things connected.

This seems indeed to be the case. Which would make one to believe the sunken area would be somehwere near Kalimdor Eastern cost.

Then again, perhaps, rather than being sunk right below the whirlpool it was sunk AND thrown away.

As noted by Hazzulu previously, we actually don’t know xD.

I must add though we have no idea where the fleets where headed, from where, and the cinematic showed no sign of either Kalimdor, Broken Shore, or anything.
