I thought we were trying to help healers here. I can see for dps but for a healer?? Really?? So not only do we have to deal with dampening, but now we just have 30% less armor in arenas and also mana issues to deal with…good luck to anyone playing hpal. Q times will be even longer now.

Probably close to 45%. Will be down to 35-36% after a 30% armor nerf.

Not how it works. 30% less armor means if your armor is 10k it goes down to 7k. What that translates to in % resistance to physical something else. So if it’s currently 38% maybe it will go down to 28% or 30% or something.

I think it will be 30% of 38%. So you’ll probably have 27% physical damage resistance.

Neither of you know how armor works.

So first off, theres zero chance as an hpal you have only 38% reduction armor, as my hpal has 44.36% with a 483 ilvl and 19804 armor. Damage reduction from armor is calculated as DR=Armor/(Armor+K) with K being a value that changes depending on your content and ilvl. With my ilvl at 483, K is ~24843. Closer to 489, K will be around 26,000 but I don’t know how much armor I would have at 489.

With a 30% armor nerf, 19804 armor drops down to 13683. So
DR=13683/(13683+24843) or 35.52% damage reduction nerfed from 44.36%.

That’s actually pretty substantial. I’m just thinking from my perspective as a rogue and the 10% evicerate nerf is somewhat off-set by this. The thing is secret technique hits for more and it will hit even harder on plate wearers.

only 33% of secret tech is physical. The 2 attacks from shadow clones are shadow damage.
