So here we are again

With all the new announcements from today, I can’t help but notice another addition to a tried and true trend of blizzard.

Gallywix, lord and savior of all goblins, has become the end boss of the new raid. So ANOTHER horde leader takes the villain bat eh? Alliance favoritism is alive and well. And another thing, Covenants, GOBLIN Covenants? When will blizzard learn to not tie power to this kind of thing, I’ll have to sim so often.

In all seriousness, raid looks awesome, I love the way wow approaches tech, feels like we are being pushed into a battlebots arena. And as a rogue I will of course be picking Steamweedle as my gang, Marin Noggenfogger was the rogue sugar daddy in legion and was nice enough to juice our weapons. If you go venture co, don’t look at me, don’t talk to me, don’t even consider smelling me.

Edit: This was intended as a silly post, poking fun at the way you could compare the Undermine with older, more divisive threads about leader bosses and covenants. Some of yall might need to reroll gnome as well if things fly this far over. O.o

While I don’t argue the disparity in faction stories…

Gallywix was NEVER. EVER. pictured as anything but a villain. So… what exactly did you expect?

I’m not sure “raid boss” translates to “villain.” Jaina was a raid boss in BFA, and she wasn’t the villain of the story. It could just be a storytelling device. I certainly hope that’ll be the case anyway

I can’t think of a WoW character who deserves to be killed off more than Gallywix. Seriously.

I’m never looking at Goblin players the same after today.

It’s your own perception that it’s favoritism to make Horde characters into bosses. It could easily be argued that it’s favoritism toward the Horde and its stories though.

Every one of my goblins agree.
Gallywix needs to be offed.

Honestly, I am still bothered by the Alliance even being in Undermine. I hope they have a good story leading up to it that will support our presence in what is clearly a Horde area. IMO

undermine isnt a horde area. it isnt owned by the bilgewater cartel exclusively, 3/4ths of the goblins that own it are neutral

Former horde leader. And he always sucked. Even as “leader” of the goblins he was very villain coded. He’s needed a good kicking for a long, long time.

considering the horde got to tromp around in Bel’ameth, maybe call it even?

I am just hoping for a good story to back up our presence in such a zone. That is all and I know it is asking a lot.

So is only a percentage of the Goblin population part of the Horde. If that is the case which Covenant is pro Alliance?

Will be excited to visit Undermine but if there truly are four rival factions then does raising one lower the others?

I just like watching him play dead with Anub’azal…

nothing wrong with wanting a good story!

Alliance leaders are too boring to ever become a compelling raidboss. Be thankful for getting story and characters instead of cardboard cutouts.

Lol gobbos fought their boss in their very own intro scenario back in Cata.

Gallywix has been a villain since he was introduced in Cata. What are you even on about?

Goblin players literally fight Gallywix before they even get to join the rest of the world. That dude has had this coming for ages.
