But seriously Blizzard WTF is up with these new affixes? I don’t think anyone meant they wanted affixes that forced them to heal, we want mobs that hit hard, not some arbitrary extra spawning thing that can seriously screw you over.
I think that healers want to dps. Make it so that they need to dps the mobs down instead and then get the party some sweet buffs. And only healers can dps those mobs! Easy fix to make healers happy.

Well Affixes aren’t meant to be fun they’re meant to be super annoying and make the content ridiculously hard.
As a healer - nah, I do not want to dps. No ma’am, no ham, no spam.
i thought by explosives getting hp increase itd be up to like. 100k or so at 20. and basically capped at 1 at a time, icd between spawns so id have something to beat up

I think healers would rather heal and I would bet that was Blizzard’s intent by buffing the health on explosives so much; healers simply can’t kill them so DPS have to.
That backfired because on PTR it’s ignored by DPS and the healer has to heal through the detonation, which might be an ok outcome since “healers are healing, not DPSing.”
Still not a fun/interesting affix, so I’d rather see it replaced with a kiss/curse.
Yes, but not one shots. Take everyone to near-death and challenge me to top them off before the next big thing happens. That is fun to me as a healer. I would be happy if I never had to press a single DPS button.
This would be an ok outcome if the damage was nerfed. Explosive dmg + all the other dungeon mechanics going off can be deadly. I’m not a fan of purposely letting explosives go off because DPS are too lazy and tunneled to kill them. They should have just made the explosives able to be cleaved. Or removed the affix, that works too.
No not really… I do like seeing people get all the way down on their health… see them get right to the edge of the abyss and then see if I can bring them back… or not… but it is fun.
Why don’t we just admit M+ is a team endeavor? It takes everyone in the group to succeed.

I wanna Heal not DPS, Its why I cant stand playing specs that use damage to help heal like paladin and monk, for some reason though I don’t mind atonement so disc gets a pass.
The trick to fixing healing is how damage is doled out and healed up. Damage is very bursty, especially at the high end. If damage input was a lot more incremental, but the tools to max out someone’s HP themselves was more restricted, and took more than 1 giga heal to cap, it would allow healers more focus on their healing.
Damage output needs to be smoothed out, and healing needs to be reallocated to healers. I’m not saying DPS and tanks shouldn’t be able to top themselves off; but, it needs to be lessened. It should take more than one hit to kill you, but it also should take more than one heal to top you off. More time spent healing, but smoother intake.
I like how they changed explosive to almost guarantee we ignore them, and just heal through the damage.

I thought it was healer heal M+ up until a certain key level then they just DPS cause everything is a 1-shot at that point.
Has anyone tried VP on the PTR? Im curious to know if the mobs still rando-banish you. Because I had to experience a chain-banish on TW this week and I imagined doing that on a +20 next patch and YIKES. That is going to make that dungeon a DEAD key lol

As a healer, I want to do what it takes to succeed. Simple as that.
I’m convinced they changed Explosive with zero testing, because there is no way someone reviewed the changes to that affix and thought people would actually kill the 700k HP Explosives in a +20.
