And also confirmation that Dalaran is “truly gone for good” (at least under the current writing team), as one of the ultimate decisions is pretty much a vow to never rebuild Dalaran again with basically a Viking funeral for the city ( 
), and to let the city remain firmly in the past.
In other words, it’s about as predictable as you can possibly imagine as it’s the writers wanting to explore what it would be like if Dalaran is gone forever and the heroes must rely on other things to defend Azeroth with, as well as the fact that the Purge of Dalaran’s never getting mentioned or acknowledged ever again just like some of the lore surrounding Deathwing.
It also would not be surprising IMO if around ten years down the road or so someone decides to bring back Dalaran because “iconic city LOL,” basically like what happened when Blizzard decided to basically end dragons in Cataclysm because reasons.
