I don’t know. It’s really not much different than spectators at any other event they enjoy. Really, what’s the difference between spectators watching professional players of a video game they enjoy different than spectators at a sporting event they enjoy?
Personally I’d prefer to play the video game than watch it, but I can see why some people that are interested in said game but can’t play at a professional level would watch others.

I’ve seen streamers in real life. Most of them look like those kids in high school who were the kids no one noticed. Yet we call them celebrities.

Moron Celebrities become famous too. The Kardashians, the guy that did JackAss and a few others come to mind.
Technically if a lot of people know who these people are (And a lot of the young hooligans know more streamer names), that would indeed fit the definition of famous.

That ‘achievement’ can be just about anything that got their name known by a lot of people.
I don’t follow streamers myself, but if others enjoy it what’s the harm?
There’s no harm and it doesn’t bother me one way or another. I just got a chuckle out of the “famous” comment.
I’ve watched a couple of Asmongold’s videos and was immediately turned off by his moronic personality.
MadSeason on the other hand… well his voice is what initially got me. So calm and collected… and puts out great content.

Now THESE are the people that should transfer to new servers
and take their full guilds (players, guilds cant transfer) and others that enjoy what they offer with them.
