So Elune is a monster

So, Elune just 'oofed her favorite children and Teldrassil itself, for the Winter Queen, on purpose, for no other reason than to send more souls to the afterlife.

Elune is a monster now. Cut and dry fact.

Train. Wreck. Of. A. Story.

In short: yes.
In long: yes indeed.

On the other hand, there’s a pretty good lesson here about not basing your entire identity on one person liking you a lot.

They may not actually like you all that much.

Yea, but it makes you kind of wonder why Elune would make Tyrande a Night Warrior in the first place if Elune’s original goal is to 'oof all the Night Elves for an Alchemist Stone kind of deal.

Elune literally baked the only people that were devoted to her for a cake that Zooval ate.

But Elune does like them. She calls them her favorite children. What sort of mother is that. It’s trying to use the winter queens story again already?

The way she speaks makes it sound like she could have done something more to help the night elves.

points at all the Slyvanas hate threads

So y’all are going to do the same thing to Elune, right?

But, you also have to ask what the difference is between Sylvannas and Elune, now?

Both treat lives like currency, both paid for different masters.

Tyrande should be suicidal at this point.

So…

She wanted to send her favorite children to Ardenweald (very cash money of her imo), while also saving the Shadowlands? But instead they got sucked into the Maw?

I had thought Elune was omniscient for some reason.

Big oof for the tree people. At least they didn’t give Elune a body here and only let her possess elf lady. With all of the cosmic revelations in the story, Elune is much cooler in my memory as a fluorescent attractive sky-elf that sits on the moon.

Thats what u get when u let people drink in a work place and let drunk write a story

Just wait till people realize that Tyrande was fighting for the cosmic being that allowed the massacre to happen in the first place. And, as a kicker, Tyrande still worships said murder demon.

Imma just save some typing and just link my thoughts here.

Its still very bad writing as its relying on gods of infinite experience to be stupid enough to not realize a simple logic problem: “Okay people die all the time. Why are we not getting souls? Send someone to Oribos!” I forget the thing in writing when you make plot points based on characters making deliberately stupid decisions.

Yes. It is clear she is unworthy of the pitiful devotion the Night Elves hurl at her. They should seek other deities.

Nope. She isn’t all knowing or all powerful

Elune didn’t kill the Night Elves, it was Sylvanas. When Night Elves die, they remain behind as wisps or tied to Azeroth like those Highborne ghosts you see around all the time.

Elune tried to send these souls THE HORDE killed to Ardenweald directly without the Arbiter’s stuff it seems. Unless we say she controlled Sylvanas or played with the Jailer.

The Horde are still the monsters for that.

She allowed it to happen, on purpose. Elune even admitted it.

Is Elune is the eldest or younger sister of the Winter Queen?

That alone will weigh my opinions on the story.

That doesn’t mean she is a monster. Elune and no other god intervenes in Azeroth’s mortal stuff. Otherwise the Horde would’ve been no more a long time ago.

I agree but, I just wish they could clarify why a goddess didn’t intervene more. If she could only alleviate the pain why couldn’t she do more for her favored children?

I don’t think she allowed it. Based off her statement of it being a tragedy then it implies that she couldn’t intervene. But tried to make a bad situation better.

Edit: spelling

Or…there’s more to the story than we know. We have not heard from any of the Gods or Titans at all as to what is their involvement into how or what they will do as opposed to the Jailer. To be sure that the threat posed by the Jailer has got to be the greatest so far that Azeroth and any world has faced. To be quiet about it… As far as Elune dimming Tyrande’s power at the moment of vengeance…There may be more to it as Sylvanus is not forgiven but spared an immediate death for whatever reasons. Sylvanus needs to pay for her crimes but she knows the end game of what the Jailer is trying to do whereas even the powers that be doesn’t know.
