So disillusioned with all of it

It’s not optional.

the requirement to equip a second legendary will be to reach revered with The Enlightened

If your doing world quests as end game content than sure but most guilds are going to require it for raiding and we can already see that M+ is tuned to have them equipped.

There really isn’t much to do.

  • You can finish the quest lines in a day.
  • You can finish most of the treasures and rares in about 4 hours of game play. After that they are just for rep and farming the odd transmog (maybe currency for the vendor transmog set)
  • While it took a bit to fish up the mount, most people should have it pretty quickly (wowhead listed it as 500 average casts.)
  • Pets are all easy to get.
  • Most of the transmogs that are not locked behind rep can be farmed in about a week.

Using ATT I’m already 53 percent done and thats including the several weeks of quests that haven’t been released and all the vendor items that are locked behind reps.

It IS optional because the second legendary is not mandatory for all players. I am going to get it when I get it. But it IS optional. The second legendary, also optional. If it’s mandatory for you, that’s a you thing.

Again unless you are in a very forgiving guild or doing just WQ’s than no its not optional. Good luck getting into any M +10 right now without a legendary. Within 2 weeks you will need both equipped.

This content is tuned so that you need it equipped. If you don’t have them equipped you make it more difficult for everyone you play with. If you can’t take the time to craft a leggo why would I assume that you know how to play your class or know anything about the raid or M+.

So let me restate it: Leggos are mandatory for anyone playing above WQ’s, heroic dungeon, LFR or not paying for a carry. This will be true of 99.9 percent of players. Will there be the odd guild that helps someone out sure but that is the exception not the rule.

Thank you. You’ve given me a lot to think about.

Thought about, ZM still seems pretty optional to me. :man_shrugging:

Rereading my post I can see how I may have come off as aggressive or condescending. That was not my intention. I just wanted to illustrate that most players do see this content to be mandatory to be able to play the content that they actually want to participate in.

Its why a lot of people hate it as much as they do, they are forced to grind out rares or do wq’s and torghast to be able to raid M+ or pvp.

And that’s fine. I use “I, me, my” statements because I really only like to speak for myself, which is what I did in my initial post.

Ah, I took the final sentence to be a deceleration of fact not an opinion. My mistake.

Yeah, when half of the chests are in places you can’t reach except by flying, which is most of them , when it comes in and the new plants are located on a rock building??? Come on now it’s not that type of plant.

I felt really bad today. There was a hunter following me around killing rares with me. I would stop to get every treasure and they simply couldn’t get to most of them. Infernal leap and double jump/glide are insanely useful.

Same. It takes much too long to complete that 5 (or 7?) day quest and it takes too long to get a gathering to kill rares. My work schedule prevents me from doing group content, so I really don’t do much of anything.

I’m way ahead of you, OP.
I’m at the point where I hover over the WoW icon, think of the many unfun things there are to do, and go “nah” and click elsewhere.

I may just farm gold till my sub expires, then turn it into bnet credit.

Have you tried going tank spec? I’ve been able to solo all the rares with the exception of the two on the north most part of the map (one requires two people to unlock the door and the other requires stuns to prevent healing to full.)

I tend to log in at 5 am and all the rares are up I just do a big circuit twice around the map.

The game is basically not a moving target. They have given people so many things to dislike about the current expansion, they couldn’t have annoyed more paying customers if that was their goal. And maybe it was.

I know people who play that have a hard time with the spiders in game. That really sucks.

ehu,spiders :scream:

I’m returning and did it for the gear drops.

Then I realized my soulbinds still needed to be opened by completing 2 covenant campaigns to get BiS for raid and dungeons.

Now I’m kind of burnt out by the whole process.

The gear catchup was great, the conduit item at friendly was great. these covenant campaigns are kind of a drag. Leggos were easy peasy. But such a large % of power tied to two long quest lines, from over a year ago…

Was all charged up to get into the new raid, but now have to grind out covenants first. Guess I’ll be late to the party again…

When I logged in last night and was forced to do bloody mobile game PUZZZLES I almost quit for good right there. I’ve been playing WoW since I was 13. Not sure how many 40k fans there are here, but to quite Roboute Guilliman; Look what they have made of our dream, this rotting bloated corpse of a game. Better that we had all died in the fires of Sargeras’ ambition then to have lived to see this

I’m really a solo player. I haven’t done a raid or dungeon in a group in years (aside from popping in past dungeons to solo for a few mogs). My favorite part of Wow has always been questing and a good storyline… and there have been some good ones. Darrowshire, for instance… and the story of Crusader Bridenbrad in Icecrown, which still makes me tear up by the time I get to the end of the questline… and the Harrison Jones storyline in Uldum. Any time I’m leveling a char, these are always “don’t miss” stories.

Now… on to SL. I did enjoy going through the quest line the first time. The Venthyr questline I found particularly fun. I really dislike the new leveling system in the area tho, and wish you could just complete it like you would any other area rather than being forced to either do dungeons, world quests, etc or play out the whole entire storyline in order again. There was just nothing compelling enough about any of the stories to make me want to run it through over and over again.

What I really dislike tho, is the grind of the endgame stuff. Run over here and kill this mob, race over there and kill that one. Wash, rinse, repeat. And the storyline of ZM so far just hasn’t been all that interesting.

I’ve taken a few long breaks from wow since I started playing… geesh… I don’t even know how long ago, maybe two years before the first xpac came out? I’ll probably take another one within the next month or two. I’m already burned out on ZM. Right now, my plan is to play through the other covenants for the storyline… tho, weirdly, there is no achievement for reaching max level with all four covenants.

Anyway, that’s my ramble for the morning. I’m really not that hard to please, Bliz… just give me some good stories!!
