I’ve seen a lot of “can’t put my finger on it” in the thread. For me it’s ZM has no soul. the world content is detached from the lore reason you’re there. the lore progress is minced into such tiny , time gated chapters just to hope the get at least 2-3 months worth of sub. And the shape of the zone as circle is a perfect metaphor that I think most players feel is a hampster wheel of a game.
Korthia 2.0. Dailies and rare hunting for rep. The story isn’t even compelling.
Everything is just way, way too complex in Shadowlands with the insane amount of currencies and systems.
I really hope they tune it down in 10.0
It’s just a map dedicated to the raid. That is all. And players are forced to rep grind to have a second legendary. It’s very bland indeed.
Yeah, I’ve only gone there once or twice on my main, and 0 times on my alts lol. I actually sort of like the new zone, but the story is just so… ugh. I don’t understand why they retcon good storylines and ruin interesting characters just for SL, which doesn’t even have a good storyline, imo.
I finished mine in a day. And I didn’t do much. The bulk comes from the world boss, dailies and world quests.
i did it in a few hours on my rogue with my wife just killing rares/doing treasures/the WB. took ages but felt more fun getting drop chances on upgrades/cosmetics vs doing it more quickly with the annoying quests that were up. you know i LOVE to quest. but jeez these quests.
Illidan?
Ooooo… Malfurion. I getcha.
/lololol
I think I am punch drunk from this week at work ha.
Carry on, WoW forumers.
can you be dramatic if all you ever do is sleep?
I agree with you 100%. I have played this game because of the story. This new zone is only intended to try and get as much cash out of people as they can. It is really sad to see. I do not know how anyone working for Blizzard could feel any pride in what they have put out.
what are you spending cash on in this zone? is there some way to buy anima with money that i don’t know about?
Sub = cash in Blizzard’s pocket. The longer it takes for people to accomplish something, the longer they stayed subbed (or that is how it worked for them in the past).
that is why if you’re not having fun you stop giving them any money.
???
I won’t be. I re-subbed for the patch. I will give the raid a try, but if it is anything like the zone, I can’t see myself re-subbing once this month’s is up. Sad though because up until this xpac I really enjoyed my time playing the game.
To be fair, I’m still here for friends. Not really the game. They don’t seem interested in switching games, so here we are, playing because we haven’t found anywhere we all want to move to.
i understand. i played for a bit when i was burnt out cuz the wife wanted me to play with her. but i finally had to just… bow out for a bit because it was making me unhappy. and it’s just a game. shouldn’t have that kind of power. i unsubbed and played idle games on steam for a bit. tried some single player rpgs there as well. didn’t like any of them. lol.
Yeah, while I like Zereth Mortis aesthetically, It just doesn’t keep me all that engaged.
The new cypher system is so convoluted I decided that I’m simply not going to bother with it.
I would farm rares for transmog but the transmog I want apparently doesn’t drop for my class and I usually can’t make it to the rares in time before they die anyway.
Right? I shouldn’t have to constantly read guides just to figure out how some gear and unlocks work. Korthia didn’t explain the Rift. That was bad enough. But this took “least intuitive we could possibly be” to a whole new level.
When you look at the cypher console on top it will tell you your cypher level. And it will show how much more research you need to get the next rank. And it scales to 252 max.
All of my friends are long gone. I haven’t seen a guildie online since before 9.1 dropped. Looking at the guild roster most haven’t logged on at all in over 6 months. The guild finder tool is a joke now. That, plus the fact that pugging is miserable, has resulted in me basically playing WoW as a solo experience for quite a few months now, and while I’ll admit there have been things I’ve enjoyed, that well is running dry. There are too many games out there that offer a better solo gameplay experience than WoW ever could.
