So you have no source that they had originally planned to do it on a weekly scale and not every 3 days .
Yet in Blizz’s own words they said that
Blizzard
Thank you for all the feedback on the “Patterns Within Patterns” quest. We also agree that the 3-day timer doesn’t offer enough flexibility to complete its requirements multiple times a week.
With next week’s scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, the 3-day quest “Patterns Within Patterns” will become a Weekly Quest, and both its completion requirements and rewards will be increased to provide the same pace of progression.
No where in that did they say they messed up the coding and it should of been released as a weekly quest.
THey said that they believed it would be hard for some to do every 3 days so they would be changing it to a weekly.

No, he just wants to be outraged and make stuff up to make others outraged, because you know that rumor is going to spread.
I’m sorry, but the thought of this is completely unacceptable. This content cadence doesn’t work anymore (if it ever did) in a game that has a MANDATORY monthly sub.
We should see regular content dropping at NO LESS THAN a quarter interval. If ESO can drop 2 new dungeons, weapon/armor sets every quarter + an expansion in the 4th quarter EVERY - SINGLE - YEAR on an optional sub…
…then this company can do even MORE in less time when they’re collecting a mandatory sub AND have a cash shop AND have full retail box price.
No more excuses.

Makes you wonder what they are doing, doesn’t it? Shadowlands has had 2 content patches since launch. Not only that, look how barebones these things are lol.

I think it’s pretty clear that Blizzard needs to simmer on the 2 year release schedule for expansions. It isn’t working for them or the playerbase and probably burning out both parties of all passion for the game.
I don’t think it’s so much the two year release schedule as much as it’s such a lack of content with this release. Along with the massive amounts of gating and systems.
Idk, folks clamor about how awesome Legion is and they abandoned WoD within a year. BFA and Shadowlands felt rushed.
the END of legion was good. it took a few patches to get their though. this wasn’t a “blizzard has a war on alts” thing it was a “blizzard has a war on not only alt specs but your main spec” thing. >_<
The thing is, a LOT of folks were pine-ing their hopes on Shadowlands to be that next “bounceback expansion” like Legion was after WoD, people put their eggs in one basket on Shadowlands to be “the next savior”.
So when it turned out to be another WoD-style flop with “dry”, stale patches people’s hopes were dashed big-time and a lot more players are cynical/negative now that the “good expansion, bad expansion, good expansion” cycle has officially been broken with Shadowlands.
We’ve never been here before, “bad expansion, bad expansion, ???” is simply unprecedented in WoW history. We’re in uncharted territory now so a lot of players are understandably worried about the future of the game/worried about whether this current dev team has what it takes to make WoW great again.

Haven’t really been playing myself. Have done maybe an hour in Zerith Mortis. Maybe I’ll really check it out one day.
Yeah, not feeling ZM or the game in general. Currently unsubbed. Surprised I can still post.
Sounds like they broke the forums again. That bug was fixed at one point.
I took the BE hunter to zm finally. Not much time to catch up to the ve hunter story wise though. Got to haven and said yeah…enough for 1 day lol. I can save the omg surprise factor of dreadlords, again, till another day. at this point I am not getting why lady v has not made like 1000 goggles to give to squad leaders at least. the tech to see dreadlords is there…lets use it. Please…
Solo queue 3 man pvp was popping decent. Even a match up where you get 1 or even 2 afks on your pair up…is better than zm lol. as that round dies out pretty quick. I got screwed over there…kill me quickly please. die quickly. Thank you…
every time i’ve unsubbed this expansion it immediately cuts off posting. i was in the middle of saying something to rosenivy one time and by the time i finished typing it up and went to post it wouldn’t let me. methinks people are telling fibs to justify the sunk cost reasoning behind still being subbed.
I wonder that too. But there was a time when it was actually bugged. And they did fuss with the forums again not that long ago. So who knows.
they should’ve made classic dudes resub to be able to post on that pre classic release forum vs borking it and letting people who have no business at all posting to post. especially if it’s still happening.
For a hot minute it felt like I could progress, but twice a week into a weekly brought this back to what it is, hurry up and wait.
It’s practically a repeat of 9.0, placing so much need on anima while letting us get it at a trickle. I need thousands of cyber, it’s coming at a trickle rate. Obviously there are a few quests, but the reality to get the cyber I need is gonna be from rares. Rares done in bulk quantities.
In a few weeks, we will be airborne… till then it’s just some daily on my main.
Yup. I managed to get my first weekly box… and all it gave me was the same item I got in the WQ ten minutes before and some of the zones ungodly convoluted currencies (which I have to go read a walkthrough, watch a 15 minute video and more just to understand how it all fits together).
The zone is beautiful - truly. The actual game play in the zone is not bad but the multiple systems and currencies are painful.
i’m just ignoring the currencies atm. both toons i’ve taken through this week also got dupe drops. last week my rogue got a hat (notice that this guy has a green hat -.-) but i’m afraid it’s mostly gonna end up a trash generator from this point forward. meh.

I admit, if it wasnt for the fact that my gold is paying for my sub right now, I’d probably be unsubbed.
My gut feeling is that if they dont do a complete 180 with their overall design approach then WoW is just going to fizzle out. Its not a matter of fixing this or changing that or improving something else - they have to take a good, hard look at what they are making and calling content, at how they approach the story, at…everything. Its currently like this big patchwork quilt of stuff cobbled together and the threads are all fraying.
I believe it is possible to save it but it might take a different set of eyes and minds and creative thinking from what they have now.
