You are the boss of a factory, and now suddenly you decide to lower the paychecks of your employees and change the work conditions, resulting in a lot of outrage and accusations of disrespect. You also decide to refuse to address/explain the stuff you did to your employees, treating as if they were faceless numbers and just assuming they will go back to work.
Result: you lost most of your employees and lose money.
Sounds familiar? This is what you do with players. You are making changes widely depised while not addressing or communicating until the 11th hour or sometimes not even that. And Activision actions dropped a LOT sometime ago while your 8.1 survival guide on YouTube got rightfully downvoted to oblivion while getting trashed on the comments section ( youtu be/xdHmLONxYmI (replace spaces with a dot)).
And you keep doing the same thing with undocumented stuff or last minute announces with keys delete removed and reductions to mob xp earned while leveling.
Do you guys ever understand that you need to treat your playerbase with respect? I mean, EA doesn’t and regular gets the label of “worst company ever”, so how long are you going to keep doing this. What happened with communication:
blue mmo-champion com/topic/798144-what-happened-to-improved-dev-communication(replace spaces with a dot)
Note how you guys claimed you never intended to leave so many documented changes out of patchnotes or uncomunicated, yet you kept doing it and last patch (8.0) was an example of it on its worst, even more than 7.3.5
You want to recover the lost subs? Starts by communicating and respecting your players, if you can’t do it then you really don’t deserve that job.
The Dev’s are slaves like most in corporations, lay blame where it belongs at the top of the corporation, the CEO and shareholders… as for the direction of the game, thats a multi part problem, one of which is the genre is changing and so will its playerbase sadly.
Wrong, the devs are not told to remain silent and refuse to address issues the players experience with their changes. That’s 100% on their side and it’s getting extremely frustrating to deal with.
Compare the above post promising improved communication vs this.
It’s common sense. Your defense doesn’t really work here, even more when the AMA of Reddit they did the other time failed to address the issues of the game atm.
The only part I can agree on your post is the buggy state of this expac. If they had a deadline to meet, it’s no surprise. But the design choices and general apathy is 100% on them. Or are you telling me that kotick went one day to their office and say"okay, ignore the players and just implement stuff under the table and pray no one notices? Please, that sounds just ridiculous.
I can say the exact same of your post. Where’s your proof telling it’s not the devs idea on this? Bring actual evidence before pulling claims out of your place (where the sun don’t shine)
With that, Maxanson takes a swift bow to the court; ruffling his cravat with a small gesture of dominance as his prosecuting claim hit the judge’s ears like a beautiful melody.
“Well, if no one objects to such a claim-” The judge began as he raised his gavel in the sky.
Just before he could adjourn the questioning and dismiss the case, a drunken panda clearly on his fourth bottle of pandaren brew would slam his mug onto the table. His blue suit would be smelling like a stale brewery, as his eyes glazed over with an inner fire.
“Objection! Mr. Human Paladin” he rang out. As for what everyone on GD knew, a human paladin can never be right.
No offense, but check official 8.0 and 7.3.5 patch notes vs the undocumented changes list to Wikipedia and Reddit on those. You can’t deny I have a point when I can’t trust blizz to list the changes and I need a external 3d party website to inform myself. And please check the link above on improved communication and the rest of the post to see it yourself.
This is a lot like saying “Hey, I didn’t bring the evidence with me, but it’s totally right over there, go take a look!”
Yes there are undocumented changes, but arguing it like this makes you come off as pretty shady at best.
2/10, would flag for trolling.
You bring no evidence however. I’m actually putting evidence and building a constructive post while your purpose is to try discredit me without having valid or backed up points. We know who is the troll here, so I recommend you to get away instead of making more of a fool of yourself, as if you didn’t do that already
Honestly, I didn’t flag for trolling until after they went from “Yeah, I’m mad about this” to “Hey, it’s like this, 100% and I demand everyone else to prove it otherwise!”
This is basically the reverse of the way burden of proof works, directly inflammatory, and also when he moved into personal insults.
And that’s when I started flagging.
I just feel like calling the devs out honestly. This situation is just sad, and even if my word gets ignored, at least I’ll feel a bit better that at least I spoke and some dev read it ( even if they still do nothing).
