So... covenant armor

I didn’t really play shadowlands.

Do I really have to run through all this content 16 times to get all the cov/armor sets?

Hello! Only four times, or once, depending on your definition of “all this.”

Yup, and if you really want all all of the sets, you need like 1 million+ anima and lots of patience. Good luck!

Technically only four, but ultimately you would be going through the content sixteen times by dint of playing each campaign. Unless Campaign progress carries over from Covenant to Covenant, at which point you’d only need enough anima to purchase the Campaign set from the vendor, but that seems too convenient to be something blizzard would do.

Depends on your goal. If you are just leveling through Shadowlands to play Dragonflight then no. You go through the opening story which takes you through the four covenants and that should get you to 60. You might have to do a few side quests or a dungeon or two.

Of course you could go talk to Chromie and level to 60 anywhere.

If you want to actually play Shadowlands then again what’s your goal? Doing quests to see the entire story? Doing dungeons, Mythic, Raids, PvP, professions, farming for gold? Different answers for each.

How else would you expect to get stuff other than doing the content?

Never before in the game have you needed 16 characters to get an entire series of cosmetic sets.

Doing the content is fine. Having to do all covenants 4 times each for all the armor is insnae.

You don’t. You’d need four. One character can do each covenant. And that is normal because they’re different armor types.

So change covenants on 4 different characters and refarm it.

Yes. That’s how farming transmog works.

The game isn’t designed with the intention of a player being such a collector that they play at least 4 characters of different armor types in order to collect every appearance in the game

It’s not as bad as it seems. I think it gets easier when you unlock one. And when we get to 70, it will be faster.

4 Campaigns, 4 armor types = 16.

You don’t need 16 characters. Only 4.

It’s 2 years worth of content. You won’t do it in a weekend.

yeah…see the raids, even lfr, were good for some anima. not seeing that jumping in DF tbh.

and they they played scaling games. sigh…I liked bfa to legion. 120’ds in bfa, basic open world gear and went back legion, steamroll old stuff missed or like me starting 3 weeks to BFA never got to do in legion. even rep grinds for ve I could say were smooth.
