So, collecting things is a mental disorder now?

It’s mostly a dungeon crawler. Don’t have to use Olde English at all.

Kindly Good Sire, Dost thou have the willeth to commence the bringing over of mobs ?

never met anyone who uses olde english. people talk normally.

It’s not your place to criticize though. Or is this hurting you in some manner?
I’d think that raiders would love to see these people playing. They contribute to finances that keep the doors open.
Never look a gift horse in the mouth.

The closest I come is a phrase that I use every so often. And I have NO clue where I got it from.

“Ye Gods And Little Fishies.”

No clue where that sprung up from. But I’ve been using it for decades now. Now British English, that I do use a bit of and I’m no Brit.

never seen that before lol i kinda want to use it xD.

Phrases get stolen all the time. Like I stole Butt Fedora from someone here on the forum. Feel free.

Potato an hour internet. Found that gem here on GD too.

i steal halo quotes all the time lol. my personal favorite is “take care “character name here” what you say is heresy!”

I know this is rather late as a response, but some of us enjoy the leveling experience more than the actual end-game. So 50 characters isn’t particularly a lot when that’s the case. Furthermore, it’s not difficult to believe that someone can hit cap on all 50, either.

Can’t we all just play the game we all love and stop judging each other’s method?

psychiatry(i know whats not what you said) hardly means anything any more. almost 100% of them in canada and america use instant affirmation( in the future this will be found to be mal-practice) in regards to disorders and then just mix up multiple cocktails of pharmaceuticals to TEST on people, even those that literally cant comprehending reality. " How’d x,y,z feel as your mind showed you the world ending in 8 different ways in the last two weeks? " ,

Nope, not a based opinion at allll.

My life has been changed (saved) by my shrink giving me a valid diagnosis, it did take a long time to find one who didn’t just write it off as depression.

you’re extremely lucky.

But having 400 mounts is just collecting? Having thousands of armour pieces is collecting? Having hundreds of toys? Hundreds of pets?

Yet in an ROLE-PLAYING game having 50 characters is absurd? Is it?

In a game that has existed for FIFTEEN YEARS it is outlandish that some people have fifty characters by now? and indeed fifty they have investment in?

Just because a character hasn’t cleared the newest raids or earned the highest PvP rank, it doesn’t make them less valuable. Each one doesn’t have to have to arbitrary amount of time played each day or week to make them valuable either-- how about those 400 mounts? How about playing one for a solid week and then not touching it for months?

I can easily picture a player having a level 30 or so character they have kept on ice because they used to level it with their now deceased relative. That’s called value-- and it’s hard to see how anything but a uniquely made character has so much.

This is an extreme reason, but you know there are all sorts of perfectly legitimate reasons that people care about their characters, considering this is an MMO RPG game that has again, been in existence for a decade and half.

Not everyone plays this game as a ‘complete XYZ’ task, and all one need be concerned with is efficiency and maximisation.

Some people like levelling up, and they like having many characters all with their own selected appearance-- and they hate having to juggle deleting them in coping with the cap which hasn’t changed.

A cap which hasn’t changed despite their now being FORTY SIX unique models (23 races and a male and female of each) and twelve classes-- in contrast to the original SIXTEEN unique models and nine classes.

No, the only ridiculous thing is people who think having and wanting lots of characters is ‘silly’ in this kind of game with its extremely long life and other collections.

The fact that the OP was flagged by the community shows the true sickness, as in unbelievably spiteful players who fight against something which would have ZERO effect on them. Yes, there needs to be a cap of some sort - to stop people literally making thousands - but it should be up to 75 or even 100 by now considering so much has been added to the game.

I was poking fun at the fact that the player wrote “charters” instead of “characters”.

Link to your source.

Psychologists are not medical doctors and cannot prescribe drugs.

A trained psychologist or psychiatrist would never diagnose anyone with anything from reading an internet forum.

I think it’s too bad toxic players are encouraged to make armchair diagnoses of other players’ mental health based only on their playstyle, which falls within the options that the game permits. I think doing so should result in immediate removal of the offending post.

Yep, this. It was my thought exactly. As a fellow roleplayer, I am also maxed out. I have a handful of characters whom I use as a support for other people’s characters. This game has been around for so long, it’s not weird if dedicated roleplayers have their slots filled up for RP purposes. Also… I think I only have two characters below level 30 lol I have almost 20 characters at 120, most of the others around 100-115ish. So yeah, I totally can relate. I’ve never had weird comments about it, though… but maybe because most of my friends actively RP too lol

i had a dyslexia moment, fair, but what i said still stands for psychiatrists.

while this is true, its hardly different than instant affirmation, which most of them do.

The comments come when we share our request for more slots.
Which isn’t that different than people requesting a specific race to be added, if you think about it.

This is going to sound hypocritical from someone with a raging the magic the Gathering and Warhammer 40K addiction.

I’ll never understand the appeal of funko pops.
