im fine with people who want to play 5 accounts at once… its just when you can press the 1 button on your keyboard and have 5 blizzards synced up together that it becomes overpowered. which is the kind of gameplay blizzard is targeting.

Hundreds and possibly thousands of players around the world now meticulously trying to find whatever loop holes they can so they can still multibox and have it as automated as they possibly can without getting banned.

False. The vast majority of multiboxers who are defined by multiboxing to an extent they would quit the game over the change, are already paying their subs by selling retail gold for tokens.
Now, you are correct if you say that a token sold is effectively a subscription for Blizzard. That makes multiboxers quitting lost subs, right?
False.
People who bought those tokens WOULD STILL BUY THEM even if the multiboxers quit. The only difference is that they would buy the gold from legitimate, solo players. And those players would probably be farming way less gold to sell, thus driving the price of token down. With many items with fixed gold costs, that would mean that Blizzard would probably sell even more tokens with no multiboxing.
In my opinion, banning multiboxing EARNS Blizzard money.

According to what they’ve stated, there doesn’t seem to be any issue with multiboxing in the form of running multiple accounts concurrently.
"The use of input broadcasting software that mirrors keystrokes to multiple WoW game clients will soon be considered an actionable offense.
If you either don’t mirror keystrokes, OR do so using hardware, you’re good.

Nah. Multiboxing isn’t banned.
They are making a change against software key input cloning because it’s used largely in behaviors that detract from overall gameplay health. Like botting, or pvp multiboxing where you’ll have entire raids of dks/moonkins just sitting on towns in retail making them unusable. Etc.
Basically, we can’t have nice things because people choose to be butts with them. Same reason the report system is very low effectiveness. Had to be heavily lowered in power because people mostly just false report spam people they don’t like.
But multiboxing is still allowed long as you aren’t using key cloning. Its pretty easy to control up to about 3/4 characters manually, for things like farming, if they aren’t too involved.

Doesn’t just affect retail buddy, this hits classic where there are no tokens at all.

From what it appears, you can still mutlibox as many accounts as you like. However, you cannot use any third party programs that will issue keystrokes or mouse movements to game clients. If a program is doing anything that you the player would otherwise have had to have made a keystroke or other form of input for, then it is not allowed.
