It’s more about spending your $200 literally anywhere else gets you anything better than wow offers.
You could buy 3 AAA titles with that price
Btw I think this thread went from being what OP was mentioning (and stale content is stale content we need a bone thrown at us) to sandwiches.

The patches are from when I paid for the expansion
Upon purchasing Shadowlands you agree that you will pay minimal $40 for its launch content and any future updates that comes with it
Your WoW sub is to access the servers
Even if you never buy the expansions you’re still paying $15 to gain access to servers

I spend more going out to lunch at work than I do upon my monthly subscription. Yes the content updates have been slow but you can always just cancel between them if you find you have nothing else to do.
