So, Blizzard is resorting to stealth nerfs now

Rextroy just found out that tanks in PvP have been stealth nerfed to have an 67% increased damage taken. The last documented change was 50%. If a tank read the patch notes and it doesn’t say that he is going to be taking increased damage in PvP and then plays PvP and wonders why he is dying a lot faster suddenly, they are going to think they are now doing something wrong on their end and not the fact that Blizzard stealth nerfed their roles mitigation.

Creating patch notes to document nerfs and buffs for the playerbase and then not adding the most important nerfs to the patch notes but instead hiding them, just invalidates the point of patch notes for buff and nerfs to begin with.

Blizzard secretly killing roles without players who play them knowing it. At least document it so players can choose if they want to continue playing tanks in PvP or not. I wonder what other stealth nerfs have recently been issued that Blizzard got away with?

The moral of the story is to never trust Blizzard or any patch notes that they write. It’s sad that the lack of transparency is one of the biggest downfalls of Blizzard’s Dev team and they are still continuing to do it.

Blizzard needs to start telling people changes.

I’m pretty sure when people start wondering if it’s just them or why they’re dying so quickly, they may just start getting frustrated.

I’m sorry for my ignorance, but what makes him right about 67%?

Blizzard secretly killing roles without players who play them knowing it lol

… He actually does the math in the video and shows the difference with a static form of damage that doesn’t fluxuate.

This doesn’t carry over to PvE?

Stealth nerfs are pretty shady but tanks don’t belong in PvP. Every class that has a tank spec also has a DPS spec. If you want to PVP, use that.

Well, when Blizzard stealth nerfs the roles/classes that a player plays, then that player should have the right to know it so they can make that judgement call for themselves to play the role/class or not. What is the point of patch notes if Blizzard is going to leave out the most impactful parts for the player that ends up gaslighting their gameplay.

I don’t disagree. Stealth nerfs are a problem. They need to be upfront about these things. Otherwise people are just going to think they’re starting to suck and become disenfranchised.

You can’t exclude tanks from pvp there damn failure to fix things is showing. Everything in this game should able to play what they want and do whatever they want.

Good, good. I hope they continue to nerf tanks until they are in line with everyone else.

There is nothing good about leaving important nerfs out of the patch notes.

How can it be a stealth nerf if we can see it

What do you mean you can see it? :joy:

Because, originally, they took 50%. These are official notes.

Blizzard went in and secretly upped it. This is not mentioned anywhere.

You’re telling me you followed all the methodology that Rextroy did to “see it” like he had to in this new video to find the stealth nerf. So, you must have known about this stealth nerf to tank dmg mitigation before Rextroy even did. Amazing.

This isn’t really gaslighting.

Now this, this is gaslighting.

They do not need to tell players every single little thing they do to their game.

How is one of the biggest stealth nerfs for an entire role a “little thing” lol.
