So blizzard going to fix the mistake?

So this week it sounds like they made a mistake and the gear was suppose to be 385 not 400 ilvl. They going to fix the error and make it 385? My guess is no. How big of a mistake does it have to be before they fix it? If they made a mistake and gave one side ilvl 600 gear would they hot fix that? where is the line in the sand?

They said they’d leave it on this week. Kind of like how they let Horde keep their heroic raid gear on characters who didn’t meet the 320 threshold for war fronts.

so what I said was completely accurate just in your favor. There is a difference in they would have to remove gear completely in situation one which then people could not have gotten even if they got the ilvl needed later in that week compared to just reducing those items to 385.

Uldir was released on Sept 4th. First Warfront was Oct 1st. That was almost 5 weeks worth of Uldir loot chances. Before the Sept 4th loot was limited to mythic zero, which was 340 ilvl. If someone got a peice of 370 loot it was merly by luck with titanforging. Which im not even sure was possible prior to the 4th. NO ONE was given a quest to get heroic raid level loot before that. And even during that no one got a quest to get heroic ilvl raid loot. Let alone it being give to only 1 faction.

Retract the statement on when warfront was released, it was indeed on the 4th along with the Raid.

Let’s not cloud this discussion with facts and logic

The issue with fixing that after the fact is example
Player A does the quest before the ilvl limit was in place. Before that cycle ends he has hit ilvl up to 345 lets say. How do they figure out if he should lose the item after the fact.
example B. Player did it without ilvl req, but if they had the requirement the players would have done a few things to make that mark.

the two situations are both errors but far different. They should have given alliance a one week run with no ilvl req. imo. The current one is a far easier fix. those peices of gear get lowered to 385. there is no downside to that fix outside people want free heroic geaer

Oh no! Alliance players getting ONE piece of 400 gear is game breaking! Time to roll back the servers!

so you need gear by error? if it was ilvl 500 would it be an issue?

The whole point of offering 400ilvl gear was to get Alliance to turn on Warmode. It worked.

Will just as many Alliance turn it on next week when the reward is only 385ilvl? Probably not.

Do Alliance need to be bribed in order to engage in Warmode? Clearly so.

Is this scenario ideal? Of course not, but it is inevitable with the removal of PVP servers.

It wasnt an error, blizz set it to that. After the fact they decided it was too high, so the next time the quest is available it will be lower.
You take gear away from people who expoit. Noone in this instance exploited, or where given anything in error.

Its “never let facts get in the way of a good argument”

To even compare these two just shows how far off the rails you are man. its not even close to the same thing. And the “advantage” lasted not even a week. You really think horde will get the same mistake? Please start using ur brain.

So allow the benefit to both sides so there is a all out war, not the ridiculousness that it is. It just shows how blizz just always favors and will make sure the ally are overall have a easier time of it. The ally gets so babied that it makes it for sure I could not play one, because you wont earn your rewards, blizz will help you too much to claim that.

Have no idea where you got that October 1st from. First Arathi warfront opened September 4th, the same day as Uldir. Horde had the 370 quest before the release of Mythic Uldir the following week.

You get FOUR numbnuts

No it wasn’t on purpose… base item level went up by 30 points and they forgot about this quest … because it scaled by base level not by gear level like emissaries…

You got this quest by someone not paying attention

Alliance get at least 2… possibly 4 pieces of 400 ilvl gear.

Quest, Warfront, Ivus, bonus roll - that’s 4

Hardly the same

It was going to be 385 initially , then I guess someone in Blizz thought what last season it was 370 and heroic level so now it should be the equivalent 400.

It is scary that some ppl making these decisions in Blizz don’t seem be even playing the game .

Our “advantage” is going away after a week too.

Maybe. Or maybe they just rethought it after seeing how much Horde complained about it.

Not really going away after a week, it’s getting nerfed slightly.
