Thats the end of the void lords? dont feel like it
It’s just the tip my dude.
Void lords… my guess is that they will be the biggest bad we ever fight. Probably the last boss! WoW’s Bowser.
Not at all.
The Old Gods, who are dangerous enough on their own, are the minions of the Void Lords. Meaning they’re bigger, tougher and far more deadly. We haven’t even seen one yet.
Not even close. The Old Gods were created by them, but they are separate things. All we did was take out the last of the Void Lord’s agents on Azeroth. The true master powers are still watching and scheming. We haven’t gotten to them, Azeroth doesn’t even know they exist yet.
The old gods are just the servants of the Void Lords, there are no where near their “full power”.
I’m kind of unhappy that BFA ended up being an Old Gods expansion. Maybe Blizzard will do an actual faction war expansion soon.
giggity

This is how I have felt for a wile. I would love to have an expansion where there is not a BIG BAD pulling the strings. None of this “The world is going to end crap.” Just a war. Us vs them.
N’Zoth was an old god, a minion of the void lords. With his defeat, Azeroth is now purged of them. Now there’s the rest of the galaxy contaminated with the old gods.
And besides that, old gods were the only thing the void lords could manifest in this world. They are all still waiting in another dimension to do something, and it’s possible (with Shadowlands being a strange different reality) that the void lords could manifest themselves in a new/different way within the SL (or the Jailer could be a person set in place to prevent mortals from interacting with void lords for all we know)
I’d be good without one. They’ve tried it twice and did badly both times so maybe it’s time to move past that whole thing.
What’s wierd to me is that we’ve had a number of different things in the game called “void lords” (eg warlock pets and their variants such as one of the things attacking Chromie in her timey-whimey scenario), yet the void lords talked about in the cosmology are apparently on the titan+ scale, so apparently something completely different from anything we’ve met so far.
Not even close
The void lords exist outsideof our dimension. The old gods are literally just fragments of the voidlords power
If the voidlords ever find a way into our plane, it’s an auto loss and we’re all dead
They’ve advertised it twice but never actually done it. The advertisements got them record presales; actually doing it would actually retain a lot of those players.
It would have been interesting if that was BFA, but honestly if they try to do another war expansion it is going to be so contrived at this point.
Huh? BfA and to some extent MoP were both faction wars. This is what a faction war looks like to them. They weren’t well done. This is what you can expect if they try it again.
we didn’t even see a void lord in bfa. tbc had one or two void lords i think but those are representative of their true power because they had to weaken themselves to manifest in the material world. all we saw was an old god that the void lords made dozens of.
Horde would never win though. Alliance has a floating city (Draenei home), The Vindicaar, the Manabomb (Nuke) key, Void Elves, a Jaina, multiple sea navy fleets, actual fortified and defensive Cities (both underground, in a mountain, and sealocked.).
Horde has no chance
8.1, with reasonably balaced factions in war mode and a faction war oriented raid, was well done. All they need to do is to do an entire expansion of patches like 8.1.
Seems like the holy grail of marketting would be to find an efficient way to have both war and peace at the same time, forking the story, so they can have both a war-focused PvP theme and a warless PvE theme in the same package.
(Unless I’m misjudging how closely story tastes align with playstyles?)
