but also Anima isn’t AP, it’s also a currency…so you know, we’ll say not grinding infinitely but mean still grinding like…a lot.

The other big thing is a major reduction in prevalence of RNG and smarter/more alt-friendly grinds.

But there’s progression! So I’m excited:)

I think when he says less grind they mean less of the ridiculous smash your head into the wall kind. Most mmo’s have some grind.

The context was that there won’t be islands for endless grinding, Anima will come from everything you do…Ion later explained the covenant spire needs are minimal week to week, but it’s also for cosmetics and other things, so…you don’t need to grind endlessly but wow players still will to get all the items to collect…

Your guild/raid leader won’t be telling you how much Anima to grind a week, he’ll just be telling you which covenant to join.

Heck even single-player RPGs have grinds. It’s inherent to the genre. Without grinds and progression you get something closer to an online action-adventure game with a lobby.

pretty much. but hey we might get to finally kill sylvanas…

oorrrrrrr more likely she gets proven to be doing this all for our benefit (awww) and gets a pass. >_< please no on that

I’m betting that we find a decidedly less-lichy Arthas chained up somewhere in The Maw and we team up with him to take down Sylvanas and/or The Jailor.

Aye. I imagine their new let’s not be as dickish goals will make it manageable for the average player. We’ll see though.

The base of every expansion is new zones, new dungeons, new raids, and trying to change gameplay that already exists. Sometimes gameplay changes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Sometimes they add new classes to change gameplay or new races to change the overall aesthetics of the game.

This is in line with other expansions. It isn’t a new game but will change gameplay in fundamental ways.

Everything these days is woke.

fixing the what legion and bfa broke sounds amazing, literally the best thing they could do for the game at this point

I bet it might as well be.

The term has been so trendy and overused that by this point it’s been diluted down to “thing I don’t particularly care for.”
