So, are we fine with certain specs just being useless?

It’s just fine that Balance Druid isn’t allowed to be played in PvE? Or that Ret is basically just a healer?

These were some of the issues back then, but if you’re involved with groups that have some sort of strange 40 man meta that CAN’T/WON’T fit in some of those specs, then you might want to check elsewhere.

What possible reason would someone have to not be fine with it, other than wanting to be argumentative?

Quit being a sook and find a new guild not filled with min/maxing elitist flogs. Simple.

there are ways for those specs to be useful in raids. maybe not min max the best but they can pull their wait.

It’s argumentative to want to play Balance? What?

If you looked at the past 15 years of data, decided to roll a druid, got to level 60, and “expect” to be welcomed into a group, then yes, I’d say it’s looking for an argument.

Those are a bunch of assumptions though. If you want to play Balance in a raiding environment, I don’t think there’s anything stopping you from doing one of the following:

  • create your own guild and/or raid group
  • join a guild and/or raid group that is OK with a balance druid

If that’s what you want to do. You know that Balance is going to have a hard time finding groups. If you don’t, you haven’t even done the simplest of research, prior to making the decision that this is what you wanted to play, and that would be difficult to believe.

Anyway, what precisely is the question? Let’s start with that, and then see…

If the question is, is it fine that some talent specs, that we have years of data to reference are not as performant as others? Then I’d say, not only is that fine, that’s great!

Play with people who aren’t min/maxing.

Protip: It’s okay to play the way you want. It’s also okay for other people to play the way they want. For instance: I self identify as a bandage spec dwarf melee hunter raid healer. Don’t judge.

the issue is that this game is specifically “classic”: Bad and all, its a museum piece. The second they CHANGE classic, it stops being classic.
Now, i don’t like this state, but its what the game IS: Hence why I am looking forward to BC classic, as balance and QOL is better.
The other option is Classic + like people have been asking for, but they’d specifically need to make servers for that different from “pure classic”

And its not just balance here, its fun: Paladins in general are hot garbage with little to no gameplay outside of “be a buff bot and auto-attack”. There’s no interaction, since Tigole gutted them right before launch.
There would need to be some more buttons to hit to make it more enjoyable, like there’s crusader strike.

If you’re not okay with it, I’ve heard of this other version of WoW where everything is balanced and everybody loves the game.

You people are insane.

Why don’t you just say what you mean?

“Blizzard, I want you to add balance changes to the game instead of trying to recreate patch 1.12”

Blizzard, I want you to balance the game.

It’s an rpg with class interdependence, how class’s in an mmoRPG are supposed to be you want everything you want retail is a click away.

Whatever you just said is nonsense.

Having certain specs be turned away from groups does not make the game feel more like an RPG. What is wrong with you people?

They’re not going to balance the game.

100% this, per the developers themselves.

We’ll get TBC eventually and you’ll get your spec overhaul.

I would love classic+, but honestly Blizz won’t do it for the cost; that’s another dev team you have to hire and oversee :frowning:
