Specific TOP guilds have been caught abusing the threads of fate bug/glitch where it gives them alot of renown to level 24.
Why have they not Rerolled these players and punish them? Is it because they’re in top guilds? So they can just abuse bugs and exploits in this game without being punished?

They should but knowing Blizzard they will never do anything to harm the world first raiders, now if you or I did this it would be rolled back.

This is the first I’m hearing about it.
Let’s make sure wowhead hears about it so they make a post. Blizzard will do the rollbacks once wowhead reports on it. Happened with the Dream Wardens in 10.2.

Blizzard doesn’t undo this stuff generally ever.
Exploit early exploit often has been a saying for 20 years
Stop coping on top guilds doing XYZ.

That’s absolutely insane.
100% should be rolled back and rewards revoked.

If they are a RWF just don’t let them compete , keeping it is fine imo. Have Blizz stay silent and announce it day of race start. Would be awesome.

It’s not like Blizzard runs this thing lol. The only way to prevent someone from competing would be to suspend/ban accounts.

Yea, I’m cool with that. Give em suspensions the day it opens.

Yeah bud don’t quit your day job
Its blizz, exploit early and often. You rarely get punished
They said they were removing rewards from the people who got the achievements for rep early because of a game bug. I was one but we could never buy anything because it was a straight achievement problem related to warbands.
They should be removing rewards from these who deliberately abused exploits.
Don’t think wowhead is going to take the bait on this.
Bigger issue with it because they probably DGAF about rep rewards is the crest savings from having equipment in that slot with high ilvl.
Personally, I think a temp ban that makes exploiting/cheating world first raiders miss the first raid would be hilarious justice.

So, where does the fact they have a private discord channel with a direct line to multiple lead developers, including Ion and Morgan, come into play?
They probably asked, “Hey, is this okay?” And one of them probably signed off on it.
Sources for existence of Discord channel: Max/Liquid, Gingi/Echo.
If you want to kill this ridiculous gear grind, literally the best answer is to just make ALL raids have no loot lockout for gear drops. Does that mean guilds in the RWF will have to farm Heroics? Yes, but who cares about them. It kills splits and massively devalues these types of exploits AND is a pure win for non-RWF players. This includes Mythic.
No more [excessive] splits. No more character clones. This makes it easier for extremely competitive guilds to keep up with the top guilds in terms of player power. And greatly improves accessibility to Mythic Raiding for Guilds and PUGs.
The RWF is a community event, not a Blizzard sanctioned event. Blizzard should make the game better for everyone, including more opportunities for other guilds to enter Mythic at an equal power level.
Why rush the grind? I actually like them slow
Huh, that can be misconstrued, but I stand by that. Sure, it’ll take like 10-20 weeks to complete, but it gives me something to focus on and makes Blizz earn that 16 bucks a month I pay them. Sure it’s chores, but classic broke me, I love grinding.
This sounds unhinged.
Blizzard will not nor should they remove what they achieved. It was a feature in the game and they shouldn’t be punished because others didn’t figure it out. It’s like when you go to a store and a product is marked wrong, more often than not the store honors it then fixes the price for future sales.
Will probably fall under the “Exploit Early, Exploit Often” mantra. Anything to have people participate in Raid World First and Mythic Dungeon International.
