Currently, yes. Ultimately though who knows, they may tug on those story threads again later. Only time will tell

Good riddance to the first ones concept.

Stupid robots.

They weren’t the robots though, they created them. We know very little about the first ones

The First Ones are gnomes confirmed. They’re the ultimate engineers.

I kind of hope this is true. Just giant all powerful galactic gnome lords

I agree with you.

Honestly the LESS we know about the first ones, the better off they are.

The more something gets explained, the less cool it is as the mystery evaporates.

Right now, the first ones are at the mystery level as the OG Titans from classic and I hope they stay that way.

Any kind of creature that is entirely devoted to order is essentially a robot. Which is what the First Ones are.

Kyrians weren’t robots, but they sure as hell acted like them.

draenei are robots.

I definitely haven’t done all of the ZM stuff so I can’t say I’m well versed in the lore, but wouldn’t the First Ones be more so devoted to balance than order? They would’ve made all the pantheons of all the cosmic forces, Disorder included.

I didn’t like the forerunners eternals first ones that much. Feels like I’ve heard the story before, and this one wasn’t particularly interesting, even.

Probably not no also feel like when it comes to the like Eternal Ones and being robots don’t think people are exactly taking what happened with Pelagos and becoming the arbiter into account :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Like my theory is that they’re not robots but vessels filled with a soul like the robots we fight in the last raid are specifically prototypes likely failed ones so for example The Winter Queen would be a vessel that has been filled with the soul of Elunes Sister.

Hoping that if anything it’s revealed that the First Ones are like gone wiped out by some yet unknown threat and that Zovaal had somehow forseen all this which would explain the awful cutscene where he states “A cosmos divided will not survive what is to come.” :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Also if they do go this route would love a book or at least a short story exploring the Zovaal properly like what did he do to betray them, what did he foresee, what was he like before he fell from grace, what ultimately drove him towards this path and what his role in the lich king and all the dreadlord schemes were :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Also would mean more Denathrius content so what’s not to want like could find out Denathrius was using Zovaal and keeping secrets of his own.

This is honestly why I want them to keep being brought up, but no new information about who and what they are given. Keep them relevant but don’t remove the mystery

Or we could all just continue to pretend that did not happen. The Jailer was a terrible addition to the lore and the game, lets not bring back anything to do with him or dig that lore hole any deeper.
