So are forsaken getting any extra cosmetics in Shadowlands?

The body type and eye colors are nice and all but looking at what everyone else is getting it feels like they’re falling behind.

Tattoos, makeup, piercings, scars, beards(For the men), etc. The one race that has plenty of potential is just put on the backburner. Ahh here have this model we made for China 10 years ago, and some new eyecolors… and like 3 wacky hairstyles with nothing “moderate” in between.

Go into the wowhead dressing room for nightelves then do the same for forsaken and see the difference. They got like double the options.

So humans get new face shapes and then they die and now they all have the same face shape again? So when you die you forget how to put on makeup or put in a tattoo? Orcs get to stand straight but not forsaken even though the forsaken guards have straight posture?

Like it’s just really strange. Here’s the human female with 35+ hairstyles and the forsaken female (which is literally a human, just that died and came back) is stuck at like less than 20 hairstyles?

Here’s some stuff that could be added:

  1. New face shapes to mirror what was given to their human counterparts.
  2. 6+ new hairstyles for each gender to close the gap with other races.
  3. Adding some new “features” in the already existing category. Jawless females, new types of forsaken unique stuff like face stitchings, bandage wraps, etc.
  4. Adding in scars/burns.
  5. Makeup, yes give some for the guys too. You give them Chris Angels haircut but not the eyeliner and stuff?
  6. Deciding on your idle pose like orcs, stand straight or hunched.
  7. Changing ear shape. You can be an undead half elf or highelf just by changing the ear shape. Such a simple thing to add. Making the forsaken feel more like the proper “forsaken” race they are in lore and not just “dead humans”.
  8. Tattoos, that go on the face and body… probably the least important option but would be nice to have. Their literal faction icon is a face with a face tattoo on it.

Edit:

Noticed some people on twitter ended up doing their own ideas. Blizzard should be hiring these people imo.

Edit #2:

New straight posture for forsaken is already in the game? Just not being used or available to players? Looks nice wish I could use it. Even has a walk cycle.

I can get on board with some of this hoping forsaken get a few more additions to their customization. It’s still early so we will see.

+1 op

I don’t play forsaken, but I’m all about more customization options. Sound like some great ideas! +1

Everyone seems to be for less bones showing on their Forsaken…

I’m the opposite; the more bones the better! If they can give Mechagnomes robot arms then they can give me skelly arms!

I want to change their eyebrows.

And their headshape.

And upright posture.

That is all i want.

I hate how the model looks with leather armor, everything looks like pijamas with the boneless option, awful.
Upright option will be cool.

Blizz seems to be really happy with how everyone is liking the new customizations

Seems like a safe bet that they’ll continue it in shadowlands but allied races will probly get touched up before they double back to core races

Well we can only hope. I do need nightborne to get a big overhaul next.

Their crest is actually Sylvanas with her “tears”. But yeah forsaken could use more love. I would like if they could have more undead face features added. Their face shape options aren’t so bad off but I really like your ear suggestion. To have a missing ear would even be unique  or maybe mismatched skin tones for different parts of their bodies, like you can choose the colors of the body parts sewed onto you.

As an odd thought, maybe they are seeing less options so far because they do have to create extra options available for Chinese players too.

I think if anyone should get lots and lots of cosmetics in Shadowlands it should be the Undead.

This is the Undeadest expansion of all time, after all.

Agreed Hooligan.
Would like if we could mix bones/no bones options on different body areas. As others have said the more customization options the better.

It’s cool that they separated face and jaw features but they should have added more options.

Also 5 new hairstyles… really…

Would love a sort of “two-face” option with one half of the face being exposed skull and the other being flesh. Eyebrows/facial hair would be nice to have too (Even if it’s partial/mottled!)

That does sound pretty nice. Couldn’t do that back in vanilla because they mirrored the faces. But with these new models it’d be a shame if they didn’t take advantage of the new opportunity.

Where’s the Beards for the Forsaken or Liches for that matter?

I just want a straight back option but some of these suggestions sound great, like choosing the look of body parts.

This is the deadest expansion, wrath was the undeadest.

They don’t seem to be listening to Worgen and Goblin players, though. They’re all clamoring for more new customization options and not getting much of anything that’s brand new. At least not much that’s brand new AND can be used with other brand new options, anyway.

It’s great that Worgen are getting like 30+ new eye colors, but that’s also the vast majority of the new customization options for the Worgen form specifically.

I do agree with adding more Undead customization options as well, of course. After Worgen, male Blood Elves, and Goblins, Undead might be the most neglected core race in the customization update.

It probably just takes longer because any updates to Forsaken have to be approved through NetEase for the Chinese client.

Undead, Worgen, Goblins, and Nightborne are probably my top four for more options overall.

I also don’t think chinese approval is the thing holding them back. Like a few others suggested. Perhaps the only thing I listed that wouldn’t be put in China are the jawless females.

all they need is nathanos and blood elf dar ranger skins and play around their hairstyles to differentiate them from humans and blood elves. I don’t get how this is not a thing by now. Clearly there are forsaken like that in their ranks. Especially more after legion/bfa.

Stand up straight still not a thing yet we have undead NPC’s IN BFA that do so…
